So i want to preorder a couple of the new mini revoltech snakes and didnt know if i should use bbts or amiami. Amiami has the figures for like $25.99 a piece and bbts they are like $32.99, but i didnt know if the shipping from amiami would make them the same price overall. Does anyone have any input? I have never ordered from amiami so i didnt know what option to pick for shipping as well. Any advice would be awesome.

Thanks

I love AmiAmi's prices, but shipping almost always makes it around the same as it would be if you got it through BBTS, so it's never worth it for me. About the only advantage is that AmiAmi gets the merchandise a bit earlier

rubber wetsuit teared badly, left shoulder broke & crack on the feet, tape holding the knife sheath stained the bdu trousers.

They look great and all, but never again I'm getting a medicom figure. What remains medicom on the modded/bashed figure
are only the head, hands and radio. Paying more to fix/complete a figure is never a good thing...

I can relate to your pain, I have pretty much the same problems with my Medicoms as well, but thankfully I was able to fix it myself but ********* I still think they're the best 1/6 MGS figures ever made, so I still plan to get them all eventually.

I remeber seeing this pic few hundred pages back and thought to myself "that's far worse than mine" but I didn't consider myself luckier :slap. Pretty awesome that you managed to fix the body (that is super fragile and not in scale with other 1/6 figures) but how did/will you handle the wetsuit & BDU rousers?

A question to anyone who has got the metallic PAK GZ BB, I have POed the regular ver., nonetheless, is he worth having considering the sculpt, paint, cost ($100) + overall satisfaction. I'm actually considering limiting my already limited collection to consist only mgs 1-4.

I mildly washed the wetsuit and repainted it with acrylics which pretty much restored the suit without major noticeable differences. For the broken body, I used epoxy to resculpt the broken parts. The only thing I couldn't figure out is how to get rid of the glue stain on his trousers due to the survival knife (see the red stain) so I gave it to my mom and she managed to dip dry it and to my pleasant surprise, it worked!

Since you're in Bangkok, I would suggest to always have some ventilation for the figures. Keeping him in a box is a serious no no. If he's in a display case, remove him once in a few months for some air.

As for the height, you can easily mod him by extending his shin and locking it (with epoxy or even rubber bands) and he'll scale with 1/6 figures just fine.

Thanks so much. So where is everyone preordering from?

I'm skipping this one but normally there are plenty of local online store with connections to HK & JP to order from.
Plus there are official distributors for Hot Toys, 3A, Goodsmile, Kotobukiya, etc... so I have no problem ordering collectible figures.

moms are the best :love

Great info on how you fixed it, would be useful for people on the custom forum as well. With the body swapping, I'm actually using HT harness to go with the new body and velcro to hold the survival knife sheath, it's not screen accurate but no more worries there. I'm with you on displaying all figures, but I'm doing it for display value rather than to preserve the leather/rubber parts.

One thing, why does your HT Snake have giraffe neck?

Thanks Wolf. As for the survival knife sheath, you can use tape similar to the HT one as a substitute. It worked for me, as the Medicom tape will eat away at the trousers. And as for the giraffe neck, I occasionally took off the head for painting reference so I guess I didn't put it back properly, thanks for pointing that out. :lol

@BigBoss9293 it's always sad to see people selling their beloved collection off. Good luck with the sales

@Ryan Pliskin the lighting seems to give more of a classic vibe to the figures + Liquid's hair is noticeably good.

Thanks Wolf. It's a 16 color LED lighting with remote control if I recall. As for Liquid's hair, I've been talking to Solidus about learning recasting, I hope I'll get to that one day so maybe I can offer the hair to other Yamato owners.

Painting it is enough, nevermind having to fiddle (no joke) with the decals

Ryan the hair looks much better man
