That's a pretty pointless analogy by Kojima, since Big Boss never even met Skull Face. Only Venom Snake did.

I think I should add a disclaimer to my post. While I find the ideas are interesting, I do think that the execution on Kojima's part left a lot to be desired. :lol

Is it just me, or did the game ruined Liquid Snake by having him to not possess any redeeming character whatsoever except being a murderous brat. I understand that he was mad at Snake in MGS1 and Big Boss prior, but is that all there is to him? Why have the same characteristics as his 33 year old self?

The game doesn't give insights into why Liquid was so mad at that age. No kid at 12 would be angry at their heritage unless such heritage becomes a hindrance to his livelihood, yet we don't know a thing about Liquid except that he might have psychological issues, something that the real Liquid does not have. Painting him as an angry, murderous kid just ruins the character.

It's like Solidus Snake giving speeches about destroying the Patriots or Solid Snake telling his adopted parents "life isn't just about passing on your genes".. at age 12.

I couldn't agree more... there was absolutely no reason for him to be in it, especially considering it's not even Big Boss...

All he did was throw catchphrases out, and his story leads to nothing... even with the missing mission.

This game would have turned out a lot better if it were similar to Hitman: Blood Money, a bunch of huge sandbox levels similar to Camp omega, the pacing would have been a lot better and the environments would have had a lot more personality.

I love the whole free infiltration aspect of the gameplay, but the atmosphere in most of the missions definitely took a hit.

Oh damn, he really believes it....
You clearly never played Brotherhood :cuckoo:

This is a good idea, if not something like Absoution as well (in terms of scale).

AC: Brotherhood was one of the most memorable games I've played last generation. I had so much fun with it, especially with the multiplayer, and the platinum was very rewarding.

Funny how you guys praise Brotherhood. I put about an hour into it and then sold it on eBay. It was nothing against the game really, I just couldn't get into the series anymore... and considering the amount of games they've churned out in such a short period recently, I'm glad I did.

I played half of Ass Creed 1, a bit of the PSP game and a little of Motherhood I think. It's not like I don't like the series, it's just that the annual release turns me off from keeping up.

The funny thing is, the AC franchise is actually worse than COD in that regard because for like the past two years they’ve actually been releasing two full games per year.

Pretty that was just last year, with Unity and that Rogue

They are yearly now though yes

I would put ACRevelations over MGSV. and that was the start of the downward spiral for AC, took far less time produce, less money to make and was overall a better game

With AC all you really need is the Ezio Trilogy ( AC 2, Brotherhood & Revelations. Embers the short movie if you want to finish it off )

Eventhough Revelations wasnt as good as the prior 2 it was essentially like playing as Big Boss Ezio.

I was really digging AC black flag until 28 hours in the game decided to crash during a save/load screen between cut scenes and corrupted my file. I loved sailing the seas more than free roam in MGSV

This Year Assassins Creed Syndicate is coming out, and Assassins Creed China came out earlier this year, last year they released Assassins Creed Unity and Rogue, and before that they released AC 3 and Liberation in the same year, and I’m not even counting the 3 or 4 Assassins Creed mobile titles they released in the past 2 years either :lol

I forgot about that Chronicles but that's not a proper installment like the rest is it, it's a 2.5D side scroller more akin to the indie type games.

And Liberation when released was for the vita only, only to get a console release 2 years later so that doesn't really apply.

The only year they released 2 full (proper) AC games was last year for Unity and Rogue.

I didn't tho. :lol
My point was that despite being a DLC type and having much inferior (to ACII / ACR) story and narrative, "Brotherhood" was still a very good sandbox/open world game. When I look at MGasS 5 I see something completely out of left field, something that doesn't belong in MG series at all.
