I liked PO, but after 2 playthroughs it got boring, I was barely able to finish the Acid Games, when PW came out, I became a kid again, all ****ing summer playing that thing all day long, it may have it's flaws but man that game was fun AF, that's what games are supposed to be.

I never saw anyone say it felt more like an MGS game. Not once. But being better than 2 spin offs and a game that PW barrows greatly from it isn't really a huge praise.
There were plenty reviews saying "finally a real MGS game on psp" and stuff along those lines, and it was praised because of that, along with the gameplay, motherbase, graphics, etc etc.

For a PSP game it was a big deal, it's so good for a PSP game that people can't help but to hold it to the same standards as the main games, even if it pales in comparison.

His unlikeable persona was kind of his charm :lol

I don’t think I ever hated him, he was a much needed personality at IGN, now that he’s gone their videos are pretty boring.

Gaming journalism has some weird ****ing people, I think we can all agree on that :lol

Saw the mention about Metal Gear Acid, just so it's out there- the first game was unbelievably boring and nonsensical but the sequel was an underrated masterpiece of sorts. Great story, gameplay, music and a neat twist that I won't spoil. If you've overlooked MGA2, definitely give it a try.

Oh, and Greg Miller's a ******.

Can you show me one?

This is just the top reviews on metacritic.

Most reviews were saying it at that time, they were calling it MGS 5 actually, a lot of people think the game is a masterpiece, I think that's due to how much is packed in the game, and how good the controls are.

For a PSP game it's definitely great. The only games I played on my PSP that were just as good were the two God of War games.

But yea, it's still the worst game in the Metal Gear Solid series.

I don't know why everyone is so down on it. Other than story it's a very solid game. Working on the PSP allowed then to really play with the mechanics and ideas. It's what allowed them to make MGSV which hopefully is the best MGS - at least gameplay wise

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker super review | GamesRadar

Thankfully, though, it does beat seven shades of stealthy **** out of it’s two PSP predecessors, namely the turn-based car crash of Acid and mega fiddly Portable Ops. Put simply, this is a proper, hugely ambitious Metal Gear game…just one that can’t quite match its console cousins.

Review: Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker

The result is a game that is very much a "true" Metal Gear Solid that fits in your pocket
To say Peace Walker is the "truest" Metal Gear Solid experience on PSP to date wouldn't be quite right. More accurately, it's a Metal Gear Solid game, faithful to its non-handheld predecessors in every respect and, if released for, say, PS3 (yes please!) would be held in the same esteem.

The "story" is my only true issue with it.

Its actually his favorite game ever :lol

Not even kidding.

Well, that's just sad :lol.

Yeah, in terms of gameplay, re-playability and "fun-factor", it's a very good game. It's just not a very good MGS game in terms of the story :lol.

I spent well over a few hundred hours playing the extra-ops missions, co-op, and building my maza basu.

The "story" is my only true issue with it.

It was like a bad anime.
