It makes obvious sense not to have Hayter voice two characters talking to each other at the same time. It does not make sense to have Hayter voice a character in the first two acts of his story and then recast him in the finale without explanation. The fact that he "never had the job" is even worse than him getting fired because at least that would indicate some creative difference or something between them instead of them saying the guy who you all loved as Snake is not Snake anymore because Kiefer is better at doing it than he is.

They gave their reasons why he got replaced though, you might not believe them but it's not like they're acting like Kiefer has been Snake this whole time. They came out and said Hayter is great but they think Kiefer is better, if they think Kiefer is better for the role then I see no reason why they should hire Hayter and as we know Kojima doesn't care much for continuity anyway

None of it was a jab at Hayter, in fact, Hayter was the only one taking jabs at everyone They were just skins, they didn't have to be voiced by the same people, otherwise that might have costed royalties, which we know Konami doesn't want to pay, and for the recast, yeah, what pturtle said, Kiefer was better in the eyes of Kojima for what he had in mind.

Yea, I understand why fans would be upset about replacing Hayter but from a creative standpoint, you should always go with what you think works best.

It all feels like a jab. Especially at the fans. I mean look at that interview with Avi Aarad from the beginning of all this. That's pretty much the definition of a jab.

Yeah but that guy is a major ****** and and I don't even remember why he had a say in all this, probably because he was the producer of the supposed movie which I don't think it's gonna happen now with the Konami fiasco.

The both of them are friends in Hollywood. Arad had nothing to do with replacing Hayter. Kojima already wanted to replace him with a Hollywood actor by the time Arad gave his 2 pence.

The problem isn't replacing Hayter the problem is how they went about it. They brushed him aside like he was nothing. At least when Ironside was replaced in Splinter Cell, he was apart of the process and was even in a promotional video!

Ironside was fine with it mostly because he actually wanted to leave Sam Fisher in Conviction for personal reasons, feeling there wasn't more he could add, though in Conviction, Ubisoft brought him back due to the script. I'm gonna assume there were similar reasons in Blacklist.

No, not imo. Kojima lied about the "taboo" themes. NOTHING taboo about the game at all! The best part is the ending, which is why I want a Venom Snake figure now. Other than that, the plot has nothing going for it. Nothing at all.

Still though, keep that custom figure. You'll learn to appreciate this stage of Big Baws.

I've said from the begging, i like the design of Venom Snake so i doubt i'll get rid, might update some parts if Hot Toys ever release one
