I was raised on the original TMNT. I went though 3 VHS copies of the movie from watching and rewinding it so much. I can't see this movie even being worth of standing in the originals shadow. Yes, I realize the original is corny now but then so is pretty much every film from that era.

Wonder if they'll be characterised like these two

I always, ALWAYS hated that the 90s movies never had them. WTF? they create these weird baby monsters but no Bebop and Rocksteady?

you guys praise the older movies so much but that right there is a Huge fail. Even as a kid I remember losing my --- and raging over this. Why create brand new creatures (Baby creatures) over the well known and loved Bebop and Rocksteady?

that was so stupid

tokka and rahzar weren't that brand new. besides, they did not have enough mojo to bring bebop and rocksteady into the big screen.

screw with tokka and rahzar. bench bebop and rocksteady. that was a good call, IMO.

yeah but they were used in the cartoon like once, they really werent big characters. They were not recurring or anything. they sucked

I'm with you. I hated tokka and razar. I wanted bebop and rocksteady just as much as the next kid. I was surprised the first film didn't have them when I was a kid.

I only praise the first film... It was a pretty fantastic adaption of the original comic storyline (minus the matching red bandanas). And since Bebop & Rocksteady weren't in the original Mirage Studios storyline, they had no place in the film. :)

I honestly don't care about Turtles 2 or 3... and the CGI film (while enjoyable) is a different thing entirely. But that first movie? That is still a fantastic Turtles film.

tokka was ok, rahzar was borderline prop goofy. if that was bebop and rocksteady,i'd be pissed. if bebop and rocksteady was poorly handled back then...this movie would be like full of praises.

I would love to know why they excluded Bepop and Rock, So they had the budget and they were able to create two creature monsters for the movie but they skip on the ones that fans love the most and instead make these two nobodies?

I really wanted some kind of explanation after all these years. it doesn't really make sense

I could be way off... but I believe it may have to do with the licensing deal worked out for the film? Notice that only characters created in the original Mirage comics were included in the films- Not cartoon characters. Plus, the origin/ storyline follows the beats of the comic- not the show which was what most of the world knew the Turtles by at that point.

My guess is that since Bebop & Rocksteady were characters created for the show, they may not have been involved in New Line's deal for the film, which might have only been for the comic book stuff?
