Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor

I feel very surprised by this game even though the combat is not as smooth as the Arkham series. Game still feel a bit too easy to me but still really fun so far with the fast spawning of orcs! I have finally died when I went into a fortress and the orcs sounded the alarm! I thought I was doing fine until they my camera angled inside a building and I got clubbed to death. This orc who killed me the promo...He is happy now, but tomorrow I promise I will delete him from my game!

I feel bad for that Orc...... he's probably got kids..... maybe his wife is pregnant..... maybe she's sick and he needed the promotion for her treatment
You would put these people on the street to satisfy your bloodlust?
Some people call Orcs monsters, but who's the monster now, huh? WHO?

Yeah this game is pretty addicting. I planned on only spending an hour, but ended up playing 3 1/2 just running around picking random fights. I did manage to get revenge on several of the captains that kicked my butt the other day, and I even unlocked the Vengeance trophy for getting revenge for a few of my friends that died.

Did you kill them or KILL them? I don't think I've killed any of the captains I've killed yet.

They all tasted the end of my blade.

Yeah this game is pretty addicting. I planned on only spending an hour, but ended up playing 3 1/2 just running around picking random fights. I did manage to get revenge on several of the captains that kicked my butt the other day, and I even unlocked the Vengeance trophy for getting revenge for a few of my friends that died.

The vengeance thing is kind of funny since it tells you which of your friends got taken out by that Orc. It's nice to go and take them out.

I think you're one of the guys I got revenge for. Lol...I did 3 of those missions. It's pretty fulfilling when I go tracking them down.

I'm sure. I've managed to get myself killed a few times. Has your glitched though? I've done two where I killed the guy and it still doesn't say completed. So Just have to leave the area and let it go.

That just happened to me. Killed the dude and he was still around. Killed him again.

Thats what I was referring to earlier. If you don't seperate their head from their body, they can return even though you technically killed them. The cool thing is that theyll sometimes have a big scar from where you stabbed them in the face and will say something like "you should've killed me when you had the chance" when they confront you again.

Just a strange glitch. I'm getting the rewards but having to kill them twice seems silly.

I just love some of the random stuff in this game. I shot a flies nest down on two orcs huddled around a fire and one of them ran through the fire to escape so here's this guy engulfed in flames screaming his head off as he's chased by flies. Also the randomness of the captains. I fast travelled to one of the towers and peeked over the edge to see an orc and I did a stealth from above kill and turned out he was a captain.

Some of the captains are right *******s though. I was avenging one of my buddies who got killed and this captain was weak to ranged and explosive kills only. So I peg him with arrows until I'm out and then I gotta deal with his posse. I deal with all but one and the captain attacks so I grapple the orc to drain him and the captain kills him with a spear before I can drain him. Then he deflects all my sword swipes and just pushes me away when I try to jump over him. Then he killed me. I hated him.

It is fun to just run around and do all of that. It's not showing up on my phone but I did one of those stealth kills from the top to get the trophy from 60 feet up. The captains are a blast to mess with. I had one it took me three times meeting up to finally kill because he kept running away after getting whooped. One of the War Chiefs I was fighting I beat him up and his captain took off. So I went and killed him only to sneak back and stealth kill the War Chief.

ah yeah I hate those guys, if they have a shield I usually break it, and sometimes stunning them can be effective

Thats super handy, I always use that, I came across two intel orcs and you can't interrogate one without getting attacked by the other, so I pinned him in place and was able to interrogate them both............ slowly

also useful for stopping runners and freezing one, while attacking another

I also like saying.... "Stick around" or "and you're gonna stay right there"

I've been following this game from the trailer, it doesn't look like anything resembling LOTR in the least . Might have to pick it up and try it out for myself.
