i'm not averse to the idea of starting it myself but i'm also not sure on all the rules and i might not have the necessary privileges for starting one. also its really PopCK spearheading this.

I'm all about that, just need to get funds together when we get a set price.

You start it alexi?

i will be doing one. not quite sure on all the elements yet. picked up a great pair of boots you can see in a post a few pages back. rest of the outfit tho--and i'm not absolutely certain, i'll have to rewatch twbb--is similar in style to the quail hunting outfit but i think might be different color. but i could be wrong and its just the massive amount of black gold soaking the clothes.

Cool... Hey Pop? Let's get the party started :)

I would like to hear from the Plainview fans. Why do you like this movie so much? What connection do you have to this movie? Why do you like the character so much?

Not trying to be a smartass just trying to understand why everyone likes this movie so much. Its slowly becoming an obsession as to why others are going head over heels for this movie. I don't get it!!! :gah:

Well personally it's just a wonderfully paced, expertly written and shot piece of cinema filled with superb performances and a great document on greed.

That said, I passed on the figure as Bill is a 'cooler' character to me.

Ahem, teddy.........?

For me its not so much about the movie but the performance of Lewis. But also in doing research for the satchel, I was re watching it the other day and I was taken aback with the opening. It reminded me of the true sense of the word work. What we call work pales in comparison to what people did a hundred years ago. Not just drillers, but farmers and the like. The tone, feelings and textures are so alive in that scene.

That's my take or a bit that I can type on my phone.

As I said, it is also a great exposition of the western 'industrialism' and what drove men crazy out there. Also, following Plainview from his sort of 'down and out' gold mining through to his moment of hitting big shows, as Snake said, the affect of greed on people.
