They really need to start these games earlier. I am sorry, but it's more important for the east coast to see the 9th inning then it is for the west coast to see the 1st inning. Ending at midnight or later is ridiculous for those of us that have to get up at 5:15am.
I get up at 6, but I hear ya. It would be a little better if FOX didn't milk the marketing cow for all it's worth and started the Game actually at 8pm instead of getting to around 8:30 starts, plus all the BS that goes on during the game that drags it out longer than need be. Last night wasn't a hitting contest for the most part, there wasn't much reason for it to take that long.

I could live with that too. Have 5 min of pre-game and the first pitch at 8:05pm SHARP instead of nearly 8:30pm. Also, I am as patriotic as the next guy, but the "God Bless America" song in the 7th inning is NOT needed either. Just play the damn game.
Ya, it made sense when the season resumed post 9/11 to do that, but here we are 6 years later, I don't think having that causes any more patriotism than the sport already gets; it is America's past time and that brings people together, but with all the contract, HGH and steroid BS now, a song for 2 minutes in a game isn't going to help much or change things.

I believe that's possible, tomorrow night's game will be the deciding factor on that. If we can win with Dice-K, then I forsee Beckett continuing his dominance and controlling game 4.

I don't know, it's at Coors now and Rockies know how to play at the low air field. Plus, with the sox losing a player with no DH, I think the tide could change...

Seeing as how we are up, I'll be furious if they throw Josh on 3 days rest
Pitchers are horrible on 3 days rest, pitch him in game 5 when he can be more effective.

I didn't realize Lester was slated to get the start. My prediction is Sox in 5 or 6, I don't see it going to 7 though; 6 would be nice for being able to celebrate at home.

Schilling was a pleasant surprise Thursday night. I was expecting Colorado to score some runs off him. I still wouldn't bring him back next year, despite the great performance.
I think Dice-K will pitch his best game of the post season tonight. Sox win tonight, lose tomorrow, clinch Monday. I'm not looking forward to staying up past midnight three nights in a row. It'll be worth it, though.

I expect Papi to get 3 AB's tonight and then be subbed for Youk. The Rox don't have any kind of starters going the next two games so I expect some high scoring contests.
And it wouldn't take much for this to be Dice-K's best post season start

This post season could end up a lot like the last time the Sox won...tough ALCS with a great comeback, and a pretty uneventful world series. I don't want to jinx it, but I wouldn't be surprised if we take the next two at their place. I have faith in Dice-K and Beckett...is Beckett.
Well tentatively at the moment, Lester's getting the start Sunday, I really hope we don't sweep the series, I want to win but I want to be challenged, which we were in game 2, so I think Rockies will take at least one game. 2004, we literally blead to win, and it took everything, so that series was very energetic, but let alone sweeping the World Series, which would be a little strange in it's own, but we really weren't challenged, that was the let down of the series; not one game was there ever cause for concern against St. Louis, we dominated and took it, at least the Rockies will give us a satisfying victory if we win.
