I now have my hopes up again. Please don't crush them Sox :monkey2

If you're a Sox fan, you can't be a stranger to the emotional rollercoaster that is Sox Fandom, they give you a coronary watching them, but on magical 2004 Fall, they rewarded that emotion the best way possible, let us hope they do it again.

I've been a Sox fan for a long time (sorry, they might as well issue you a Sox hat with your Mets gear as a child ... lol), but I find myself pulling for the Rockies. It's just too amazing of a story not to get wrapped up in it all. I remember as a kid getting all the gear when they began as an expansion team. Slowly, I got tired of the growing ERAs of Coors Field. Now, to see their pitching being this dominant ... it boggles the mind. A Sox vs. Rockies Series would be perfect. I could find something to love no matter who won.

I almost lost my voice screaming and running around the house when Drew hit that shot. Gonna be a nerve racking day tomorrow

Oh ya, I'm going to be walking into work exhausted Monday. I was glad to see Drew do so well, but it almost makes me want to puke at how much the media was bumping his performance, he's sucked for an entired season, has one nice game and they're kissing his ass, when he'll likely be like 1 for 5 tomorrow and back to sucking, this was a fluke game for him, it's going to take many more like this to convince me he's worth our time and money. I feel ok about tomorrow knowing we'll likely see Beckett in, so even if Dice-K struggles, our clutch pitcher can clean it up. We have to bat like tonight though, we need at least 7 runs to win tomorrow.

I have no faith in Dice-K anymore. I'll be happy with 1 run in 3 innings tonight. The best part of last night was us being able to save our bullpen and Cleveland needing 6+ innings out of theres. I will be on pins and needles all day and know that I'm in for an emotional roller coaster come 8:30

Dice-K is my big worry. I told you when we went that Sox/O's game I had no faith in him and he got shelled! He's fallen off the face of the earth the last month or so. I'd almost rather they scrath him and throw Wakefield. I think you could get 4-5 good innings out of Wake and then go to the relievers. Dice-K could get bombed in the 1st or 2nd inning.

I hope he proves me wrong. The guy just worries me.

I'm not concerned with Dice-K starting because this is do or die time, and I fully expect Beckett ready to step up if he gets the call, so if Dice-K runs into trouble they're not going to hesitate to pull him, that can't afford to now, and I have total faith in Beckett, his will to win, his command of the ball, he can carry us. It's definitely going to be an emotional game though, but what fun would it be if you weren't on the edge of your seat.

It's Beckett's day to throw on the side so I fully expect him to pitch about 2 innings 'when' Dice-K struggles. We have a very fresh bullpen after those two great outings and the day off. We should be ready to empty it tonight, that will be our big advantage in a close game. Just have to hope Westbrook doesn't pitch like he did in game 3.

I agree they will give Dice-K a VERY short leash as they should, but that guy seem to be able to give up 5 runs before you know what hits you. I just hope the man pulls his boot straps up and pitches his butt off and shows he's worth more than he's looked the 2nd half of the season.

It's crazy. I really thought we were finished after the game 4 loss. I'm feeling pretty good about tonight though. Pedroia is doing again what he did from May through September, and other guys in the lineup are finally starting to pull their own weight. And I just can't see Westbrook shutting down our lineup tonight like he did in game 3. If Dice-K can give us 6 innings with no more than 3 runs I'd be very happy with that. I just hope he challenges hitters and doesn't get into trouble with walks. I hope I'll have a reason to watch game 1 of the WS Wednesday night.

WOW, I think we have shot, but to expect anything more than 5 innings, and even that's a longggggg shot, out of Dice-K is a bit much. He just doesn't have steam left, he hasn't gotten through a complete 5th in the post. My prediction is, Dice-K 1-4, Beckett 5 & 6, Timlin 7, Ohkajima 8, Papelbon 9.

I'm hoping to see my boy Papelbon like this on 3rd out, ninth innning :)
