Get it from my LCS guy, and his prices usually beat any place online. He usually sells it to me at the US price. With taxes in, it ends up being cheaper than ordering online most often than not. He's a very fair guy and I like giving him business as he's a small store that has been around for a while. Plus, we talk hockey, the birds, and the bees. Y'know... stuff.

Gotcha, just curious because in terms of when you get the figure, getting it from anyone supplied by DCD is a bad move if you can avoid it.

Well, I'm assuming that the May receipt date they're stating now is with the figure being on time, making it about 3-4 months after HK shipments. Now, if he doesn't ship on time for HK, Jan/Feb, and DCD stays the same 3-4 months apart, pad however long the HK shipments are delayed on the the DCD to estimate when those will go out.

No, they didn't do a cord, that's the thing. Most of us thought it was a cord when the picture surfaced, upon closer look, there's a spin plating to the back of the TDK suit neck, and the light in the photo made the left side of the plating look shinier and differnt in finish from the rest of the neck, so we all assumed with it being the figure with the sonar head on it, that this was a cord connecting the head to the battery, since the Predator bio maks works this way. Now we realize it's not a cord, so the more likely way the Sonar head lights is through the ball joint on the end of the neck post.

Just as in life the negative points tend to be more prevalent as you can only say so many things positive, you will eventually stop. But heck on the negatives you can dwell and dwell and dwell

I know me too, but i noticed a lot of people have a lot of issues with it, which is fair enough, some people like it and some people dont. Thats cool. But personally, i cant wait. Got my dx joker on pre-order and i'll pre-order this some time closer to the release date. Woohoo. lol

Haha, you may well be onto something there. I'm sure our satisfaction with these things will gradually decrease until nothing is acceptable. Just kidding. No disrespect to the people on the board, i'm sure its just a case of, the more experience you have with collecting these the more you notice the inaccuracies. That said, i'm super impressed with some peoples knowledge andabilities with customizing etc. Makes me quite jealous.

I've been collecting for 8 years now, since I was 14 with my first collectibles being McFarlane movie maniacs. I am not a newb but I am also very satasfied with this stuff. It has nothing to do with how new or old you are to collecting IMO and everything to do with the reality of things. We are happy with this figure because it is a great figure but others aren't happy with it 'cause they aren't going to be happy unless they clone Bale and shrink it to 1/6 size.

Well, I think this figure, and DX Joker, by nature of what they are, open themselves to harsher criticism than other figures.
The idea behind making DX of Joker and Batman in costumes previously released (though Joker also has the cop stuff) is to correct and better the flaws of the previous figures, and those flaws are considered fairly significant, especially as some seem eaily within HT's capabilities of not making.
So, the people being critical of these figures aren't so much being critical of what the figures are by themselves, but what they are in comparison to the previous versions, how much they are improved over the previous entries. While some goals may seem, or actually be, unrealistic, it's not unrealistic for customers to be looking to be treated with some respect and not just as more money, when some companies, like Sideshow, show you they do really care about customers as people.
If HT is saying kind of saying, we're sorry we didn't do our best on the first versions, here are some DX versions to make it worth your while, then there is some expectation that significant correction be made. The nits about Joker were relative to costume things, which were the area of most inaccuracy on the first version, and figuring that dramatic changes should be done to the costume and frustrated that few changes were done, leaving customers to feel like ok, they just did a few things better this time that they also could have just done the first time. Had HT made all the corrections, people may have felt like thank you for making the effort. Same is happening with this Batman, for the effort of making the figure right in comparison to the original, there was a built up expectation as to how far he would differ from the first figure to justify the action.
It's really more about feelings of how HT is treating customers, I think, than about the product itself. Had the DX Joker and Batman been the first and only figures of these looks, I really think the criticisms would be less, it's that there's a "new and improved" nature behind their production and questionable improvements that's causing the stir.
