I could never wrap the stock Hot Toys cape around the Batman Begins figure. It would look all pathetic and wouldn't ever hold.

Trouble I find with the Begins cape for this purpose is not the material but the cut of the cape, it seems like the HT pattern was made for it to go over the sides of his shoulders and they never intended it to be able to drape over the front of him, which is a shame, as one of the stand out things about that costume was how often you basically saw cowl and cape onle, nothing of his body.

Now that i think about it, it would seem desirable that to be able to adjust the PERS, you need 'some' kind of removable piece. Joker had the hair, and Batman now has the mouths. One would presume, that's how we'll get access. Not necessarily the same joystick style, something different probably, but i reckon that will be how we'll get to it. Especially seeing as they designed it specifically to have removable mouths with PERS in mind too, seems like they're killing two birds with one stone

That's intriguing and a cool concept, but it's limited. Because that would mean the head would always have to be turned in order for the eyes to turn i.e. you couldn't have the head straight forward with the eyes to the side etc.

It would have been more suiting to the Joker. As he was mostly turning his head while keeping his eyes straight. Where as most of the time Batman kept his head straight and turned his eyes as you said.

I'm just glad the Joker wasn't crippled that way. I'm sure Batman wont be crippled either but it'll be interesting to see how they finally did it. Maybe that is one of the long delays for this. PERS and batteries can't fit in the head surely... R&D trying to find out what works and what works easily and quickly without making a botched job of it causing faults with it.

Depends on how the mouths come out, if it's similar to how the mouth piece is attached on the Begins and v1 figure, you couldn't access a controller that way, it's just a small plug that goes into the cowl.

PERS and batteries can't fit in the head surely...

I have a hunch the electronics will all be housed in the neck piece like that RE5 figure posted a few pages back, which leaves room for a ball joint socket and PERS to both fit in the head. I think PERS Batman will be more impressive than Joker, from an engineering standpoint.

It probably can but you'll be in fear of tearing or snapping it^

1. Shows you how crappy the cape is on the V1 (something I hate)

2. How bulky the chest is and still is (which I don't mind at all and never have)

Scary how tiny the chest actually is.

It's interesting how an armored suit can ultimately almost fit like a skin tight t-shirt. Bale didn't really gain any noticable size wearing the suit, he looks like a normal man, with the chest plates having a human pectoral size, nothing big. That's the main reason I grew dissatisfied with v1 after having TDK on DVD, I really came to notice just how small a build he has in the TDK suit and the v1 almost has a He-Man build going on. I have noticed that companies like Bandai will sometimes design figures of heroes to convey a Hercules type of build, almost like the overseas manufacturer's perceive heroes as needing to be of larger builds to emphasize their heroics more, I can't imagine HT did this on the v1, since they work so hard for accurracy to the films most of the time, but I do wonder.
