This shows the figure exactly how I figured and expected it would be improved over the v1 in proportions, much more "average" build overall, no big, body builder sized upper body, much closer to Bale's body type, really looking forward to this thing.

It is, I'm really looking forward to the images I'll get with this figure, I was pretty happy with some of the ones I got with the v1 despite it's issues, I can't imagine what I'll get out of a figure with those issues corrected.

Thanks, fortunately Batman's design and character are something I can figure new stuff to do more easily with, I got the Joker DX, love the PERS and all, but having done so many photos between Les' custom, my v1 and my v1-BR hybrid, I'm struggling a bit to come up with shots that are unique and not just retreading the same stuff over again, or at least giving it a unique twist that makes it stand out from the past. I love a Dark character like Batman though, especially with the shapes to his cown and armor, there's always new stuff to explore, lighting setups to control how those details are presented, camera angles, I feel like shooting Batman is more like shooting a creature than a person, like the Aliens, which I have a lot of fun working with. Batman's a lot of fun for me to shoot, be it my custom '89, the old Takara Begins, or the HT figures.

I am really digging that neutral mouth expression. It looks the best out of the 3 imho, still angry and determined, but not excessive

The improved eye area helps with the mouth area too, the v1 mouth expression wasn't too bad, similar to the neutral one on the DX, but the eye area of the cowl wasn't very intense, the DX cowl is realyl expressive in that area.

You guys remember 'BBQ' from Toy World and Toys Daily? He was one of the first to mod the HT TDK new suit figure. He has the DX Batman now, and he started a thread about it with photos and text I can't read. I think he has modifications in mind and he may have already done stuff to the cape.

Edit: turns out he replaced some of the dx parts with Medicom parts.

In some of the photos in the thread, the neck on Batman looks a bit long, but it looks good in the photos below. Don't know if he did something to the neck or if it's just the angle. A translation would be nice.

Agree, silly changes to neck. And I would use a cape more like Lforigno's rather than the Medi cape, but i guess this chap likes its poseability

Shoulder pads different too? I dunno, neck looks ok, but i don't see any problem with the original, and it's built into proportion as 1 whole suit, the medi looks too fat
