When I get my DX, I'll have him with his cape draping over the front of his body, like the Begins suit. While he never did that in the movie, I did see a picture of him in the new suit doing it, and I thought it looked really cool. I'm of course gonna get one of lforgino's capes hopefully, because the default cape doesn't work like that

He did do it in the movie, not sure why, but when he first shows up in the burnt down warehouse with Two-Face and Gordon, the cape is draped over the fronts of his shoulders.

What really strikes me is how dramatic the differences are between the v1 and the DX.

I showed my wife this video and drew her attention to the part where he shows both versions side by side. She said the DX 'looks like a real person', whereas the V1 'looks like an action figure.'

Thats a pretty good sell from a "civilian."

Just picked up my DX Bats and DX Joker from the post office and eveything seems perfect so far. No warping on the ears, no peeling, and no oil whatsoever. Pics eventually coming up, if I can find the right setting. Simply awesome figures. Getting both at the same time is almost as satisfying as it would be if I could have sex in every position with Roselyn Sanchez, which says a LOT.

That is saying a lot!!!

Thats the only thing left I still love about the Medicom that sadly HT never fixed. The stubby HT toe caps are quite cheesy since they are shaped wrong.

I'm wondering what's up over at Toys2. My credit card was charged for my order about 2 days ago, but I haven't been emailed a shipping notice. I guess I'll wait until Monday and contact Eric if I don't get a notice by then.

damn....so i'm in guang zhou china, and the local toy shop has bats DX....so i went to inspect to see if the head is warped...and it ever so slightly is.

dammit! i really want it now! but i don't want the mishapen head...even if it's ever so slight. man....guess i gotta wait till march afterall. hopefully that'll be batch 3.

Great pic but it absolutely highlights my #1 gripe with the DX Bats - the ears are completely off and are far far too thin. The height is actually accurate (did some analysis on that), but it appears too long as they are too thin - Medicom got this detail spot on

Oh please...

Yes, you are entirely right. But the ears on the DX Bats are close ENOUGH. No one is gonna take a look at the figure and go "wow, they really messed up the ears didn't they?

The key is getting the figure to look as close as possible to the real thing, but unless they have access to the original suit and make a mold out of it and then downsize it to 1/6th, there will never be a perfect likeness. Besides, sometimes the figures look even better than their originals, as is the case with SS Darth Vader. THAT is how he should've looked in the movies.
