I emailed HT with a picture and the a description of the problem even going as far as telling them people have been having paint problems from all the rubbing on the suit (MaulFan).



Looks like thats the standard answer we get now. I really don't know what else to ask them they don't seem to care.

I just hope no paint comes off then I'll demmand a refund.

I actually never got that reply but then I was very detailed in my description in point out all that I have done so far. Just hoping the right person will be seeing it soonish or already has.

We love Batman too.

BTW, I just took off the belt for 24-hours, let it stand by itself, and the leaking slowed own substantially and I will not wipe away just to see how this tact with end up.

Try an put the figure in a bowl of dry rice and see if it will absorb the oil. I don't know if it would hurt the figure or not.

Mine arrived from ABC Express today, superb shipping as always.
There was a little bit of "oil" on the bottom of the lower plates, looked like someone had been licking him... I have removed the belt and wiped away the oil and we'll have to see if any more comes back, very pleased with it though.

It was posted on the 5th once it got here it slowed down a bit.

Perhaps wiping is the worse thing you can do, and leaving it alone is the best policy?

GREAT! I stored mine away with the belt on and will check it out tonight.

Any wiping IMO will only deteriorate the rubber and just damage it over time. It's best just to dab it a tab at most, and let it be and it will fade away back into the rubber...

But we'll see.

i don't think i'd really mind the oil problem...it seems pretty minimal, but thats just me, nothing wrong with a shiny suit from my point of view

Honestly it's been over 24 hours and the oil has not built up and it's not spreading or dripping.

Much less oil this evening on mine, hardly any realy but I placed a small square of kitchen towel behind the belt... we shall see.

I only got him 2 days ago, but you guys have got me SO paranoid. Every time I walk by him I check out his abs. I feel like Liberace at a Gold's Gym.

As for the cape - I had a real problem at first, but putting on and taking off the backpack really educated me on how the clips work, they're the same shape on the cape as on the backpack. Also realizing the cloth was supposed to go under the chest plate with the clip also helped me figure it out.

Don't get like these Paranoid Petes here or this Nagging Nancys.

If something comes up, and you feel that it warrants an exchange et., then get in contact with HT about it.

All this over analyzation, scrutiny and constant babbling and worthless drivel by the muckity muck schmuck here and his ghouls scare people into taking a magnifying glass to their figure and checking every lil' tid-bit.

Look, I understand is a pricey piece, especially not to complain about defects or issues that are an annoyance. But lets keep it real here too, and realize that this is a mass produce toy/collectible and that not every piece is going to have leprosy like some here like to rant about it.

The oily residue has not spilled, leaked, seeped out intensely, nor will I continue to dabble with it as some here have done, to the extent that it has deteriorated the abdominal plate.

Just look at the beauty that is the figure, do as you please with it and if there is any SERIOUS manufacturer defects, not caused by you, your mishandling or your constant annoying fiddling - paranoia about toys and constant meddling is just sad - then you talk to the fine people at HT and state your case.

They may drive you nuts sometimes with their customer service, and it can be worst than ordering take-out on a Friday night, but they'll take care of you brother!

V!C - i think that you are right, people should enjoy the figure, i know that hot toys hasn't been the best with costomer service, but look at all the great aspects of this figure! i don't even have it and i think it's amazing (thanks to maulfan) i know the oil problem is annoying, but as far as defects go..it's not HORRIBLE some people may think me wrong seing as though i don't even have it yet and i respect each individuals opinion, but enjoy this figure because it really seems to be a great one.
