Wait... There are still those who have this on order even if they know about the oil comin' from the figs abdomen? Has this oil issue been resolved by HT? If so, are the distributors guaranteeing an oil-free MMS DX-02?

i have finally, finally soldiered on and gotten my DX 02 Batman that i have pre-ordered since November.

mine is still part of the 1st Asian batch as told by my local source. and to my surprise, the oil problem isn't really that much of a problem. in fact, it's very, very minimal. i guess i really expected it to be much worse.

and IMO, it does absolutely ZERO to discount the fact that this is an ABSOLUTELY beautiful piece of collectible. Holding it in my hands for the 1st time just made me so giddy.. i felt like a little girl holding her 1st Barbie doll.. some random pics fellas!

sorrayyyy for the flash! (why does flash make the costume "bluish??")

me and my mates comparing our "toys"...

i used a party spotlight as a makeshift "Batsignal." need to find some decal for it

DX02 Batman is on my table right now.. and every second or so, i take a look at him

another YES! i'm not saying money might be an issue for you, but if it is, of course just get the DX. but if you can still find MMS 71, go for it. it's just like how other collectors are with getting their Iron Mans

I mean the TDK suit itself not the Begins one. I know the begins one would be worth it it it wasn't a million bucks. TDK and DX suit look similar thats why I'm asking if its worth the buy.

I just bought a DX Batman at a steal of a price. At the price I got it if it least even a little it'll be alright and well worth it.

Have you tried looking for a Takara Batman Begins? I got mine here for $105 shipped. :chew

Yeah your next best bet for a BB Suit would be Takara's Batman Begin. That one is pretty impressive also. Although smaller than the OC Batman it's still a good buy. I'd still have it if I wasn't short on money and needed a Medicom TDK.

ALSO FOR ALL INTERESTED:
I have 3 DX BATMANS on order right now. I plan to keep two of them for display and 1 just for the accessories. I WILL BE PARTING IT OUT. So if you want a DX Batman but do not think it is work the current market price I will be selling the Batman with PERS head, body, cape, back pack, and hands at a low price just to make up for the loss. PM me if you're interested and I'll let you know how much.

you'd be hard pressed to find one which does not.

that being said, it still doesn't take all that much from the figure. i was expecting the worst when i opened this bad boy up, having read all the various articles, threads, posts about the "problem." i have it roughly for about 3 days now and still can't get over the fact how awesome it is DESPITE that flaw.

The thing is, the oil issue affects everyone's figures differently, and it bothers people differently. Some people can look past it, others are annoyed by it. Until you get it yourself and see how yours is affected and how that impacts your feelings about the figure, all the advice in the world from this board doesn't mean much. You have to experience it to know your thoughts, only thing to take from here is awareness of the problem and tips on how to try and deal with it if it bothers you.

I'd say if you're dabbing every 2 - 4 hours then it's bad. As I was at this stage once and it was never dripping, nobodies has but it got darker jet black more or less it was so obvious and moist in that short space of time. No matter how your view is on it.

What do you mean? Is the Takara Begins Batman smaller than the Hot Toys Begins Batman?

He looks totally in scale on my shelf.

In fact he kind of towers over my DX Joker. Now the Medi bats on the other hand is a midget.

Height is on scale I meant thinner than the Hot Toys Batman.
