[Don't know if you remember me, but I discovered a thread about the DX01 ages ago on another site (under the same used name) and we chated a bit there. That was the beginning of a long standing hobby really taking flight. Very thankful I moved over to the "freak show" here. ]

It seems that 2 members (Geil and CeeemOr) have received replacement bodies that have abs made of different rubber than the original batches. It looks like Hot Toys has heard the call and is doing something about the oil problem. I don't want to jump the gun, but it sounds to me like the DCD batch will be OK!

You're already jumping the gun. Stop getting all giddy until this is proven in a timely manner. Or you're just as bad as how Johnny went.

The difference is that there is something tangibly (very tempted to say "radically") different about the construction of the new replacement bodies.

Indeed, it does sound like they've radically changed the construction of the figure, BUT, with all the problems and half ass response from HT, I think even this latest "fix" deserves some skepticism, HT hasn't demonstrated much of a clue or care for the problem over the past 3 months, if this is a sure fire fix, then it only makes some of their actions of the past few months even shadier than they already feel.

I don't wanna speak too soon but mines reduced leaking quite a bit over the past 2 weeks. The 2 lower abs are still somewhat glossy but nothing like before.

All these figures will magically stop leaking by the time the third film comes out and HT reveals the new Batman Figure (which could be the same suit just more accurate) and everyone will be selling these.

gah i clicked the link to bbts, and when i saw the pic i said "wtf? that's the v1, not the dx!" i had forgotten that it was basically the same suit as the v1

well, yeah...
the proto pics were basically the v1, so when i saw them again (after months of seeing the new and improved oil suit) i was a little bit shocked. also bbts completely whiting out the backgrounds of the specs does NOT help to make the figures look better.

granted, i've only gotten mine around the 19th, and it's only the 25th, my Batman though has been great as the oil problem is not much profound as some of our fellow bros here on the forum have.

Wait so garou, you have a replacement body that you got on the 19th of this month and yours has a minor minor leaking problem? Does it have the new ab plates or the old material? This new fix must be a really recent thing.
