Just placed an order with BBTS. Batman DX... You better be worth all this trouble!

Well for you and anyone getting from DCD, it should be no trouble at all and should be an awesome experience. For those of us that bought it already, it's been a long, difficult road trying to get to awesome. I am feeling relieved that I might actually get to stay at that point, I love this figure and if all the problems are dealt with now, I'll be delighted to just enjoy it for all they got right with it.

@ MaulFan:

1) Any thoughts on why they are still using the plastic divider?

2) Love the latest Bat pics with the night club lasers! How did you make the laser look?

As far as the sheet of plastic, my guess is, for what little it'd cost to include, they just put it in there as a precaution, it doesn't hurt anything to be there. With the mess this oil problem has been to fix, why not send out figures using every trick they come up with.

As for the lasers, I just take a laser pointer and wave it over the figures while snapping the shot. Because they're taken under low lighting, the shutter speed is slower and so if you flash a laser pointer dot in the area, the reasult is a streaked line.

Sanzo I finally found a neck adapter laying around. Here is a pic of the V1 neck adapter on it. It's the one I showed you before.

Heres one with a regular TT neck. Although it doesn't make sense as to why he wouldn't have his collar on with the suit, his neck isn't long at all and the head fits. So if you want it to look good with the Bruce head here's your choice.

Just thought I'd put this pic up before I send in my DX body for a replacement. hehe

Not at all. Patience has nothing to do with it. Early purchasers deserve the same experience as I hope to have as a "late to the game" purchaser. It is just very unfortunate things turned out the way they did.

It does if you aim to represent him mourning Rachel's death, he had the guantlets, gloves and neck piece off in addition to the cowl.

V1, Medi, DX - they all have issues that keep them from being definitive. The HT Original Suit is still the champ. Maybe by the July 2012 release of the next Bat-movie, HT can top that one.

I just got this a few days ago, and I loved the feel of the figure. He's solid and heavy, and the rubbery surfaces gave it a cool real-life dimension.

But as much as I love it, it's far from perfect. And we can talk about mods all day, but when you don't have time or skill for it (like me) or aren't in a place where you can find a lot of other collectors, much less modders, then it's a real bummer when the figure isn't as complete (i.e. no need for mods) as can be.

To begin with, the neck is way too long. My friend who isn't a toy fan came to the house and immediately said Batman looks like a giraffe.

Then there's that oil issue which I hope I won't come across but chances are, will.

The portable glue gun is flimsy, and I have trouble posing it in the figure's hand.

I still love it though, and it's the centrepiece of my Batman collection. But just want to make it clear to potential buyers that it's not the be-all-end-all of 12 inch figures that many make it out to be.

The sticky gun I don't see anyway for it not to be flimsy. It's a flimsy design to begin with. I'd be willing to bet the actual prop is flimsy.

MaulFan do you use a light box (I think that's what they call it) to take your pictures? I am amazed by the kinds of pictures you're coming out with. I just went through your photo album and holy cow are they good. Did you ever take classes in photography? Hopefully when I'm settled in I can get a decent camera and make a light box.

No one said it was the be-all-end-all figure of the 1/6 world. Yeah it has it's flaws like any other figure. All the flaws have been talked about already (check the last few pages) someone tried a neck mod because we all agree the neck is too long. The sticky bomb gun is flimsy to the point where some of us have broken it, and the head still tends to get warped, but that's expected with the ears. Unless you make it out of a hard plastic it'll always get warped. During shipping if its pushed up against the foam it will bend a little. What it is is it's the best out of all the Dark Knight figures. It's more proportionate than the Hot Toys V1 Dark Knight. The second best one is the Medicom Dark knight, but it still has the big chest. The wire cape is annoying, but I think the verdict is split in half with that one. What it all boils down to this: If you're going to go out and spend money on a Dark Knight figure then go with this one.
