yes mate, it's the medi head. I just put it on the ht dx out of interest and I'm kind of liking the result

So does that mean you favor the medi-head over the actual DX one?

To everyone else, do you guys favor the medi-head over the DX one? Is the PERS the reason the DX head sometimes gets a little hate?

I like the PERs but I don't like the shape of the DX head. The Medi head (once widened a little) has a much more accurate shape.

Like itv said, it's the shape but the most import thing for me it's the mouthpiece. I like the angry mouthpiece on the dx head, but the others aren't really that good. Especially i hate the opened mouth piece. I just can't believe they could sculpt this thing ^^ The eyes of the pers-head are looking also just too big and cartoon-ish like vodoun said once.

Here we are!... Some improvements on the posture and a gift to intothevoid with this pic in superposition at 50% of transparency to let you appreciate the likeness.
Hot Toys has a few minor errors such as the pectorals too thick or too bulky shoulders, but frankly, it's still a great figure.
I agree with you Thrustmaster: the open mouth was really not a good idea.
Next step: lighting, this night...

Thanks a lot!! Yeah it's a great figure, but the overlay highlights the issues with the arms and the head for me!

I'm shocked that there's no Work In Progress sculpting going on for new mouth pieces on this board out of all the customizers on here.

In bright light yeah. Under a nice shaded room it can cast nice shadows on them taking that pearly white out of it.

Even though this isn't the DX, I can't be arsed to look up the other thread, besides... this has mostly DX parts any way so

Any way, I modded my V1 Bats so that it also doesn't have a giraffe neck and kitted it out with my spare DX parts. I only did a neck mod because the damn neck post snapped a while ago so while farting about today to find a solution to stop the head from flopping over one thing led to another.

Mods were only to the body, none to the Sonar head! Basically just cut the bit inside which held the neck post down. Considered putting something in to hold the head in place but tbh it isnt needed since the head it snuggle held in place! Looks loads better on the shelf!

Any way, heres pics:

If down the line I can get my hands on some loose DX chest armour I may swap the suit onto a slimmer body and put the armour on so it looks better.

Either way I'm happy with this and it looks alot better imo!

Yeah when he is posed like that you can't really tell the difference unless you're trying to look for it. Also they're not posed together so its not as glaringly obvious.

Still though, if I came across the parts and had the cash at the time I would give it a go.

You can take the chest armor off? How?

Yeah, if you just look on the back, underneath the should blade parts, the bit that loops under the arms just fits in there, they're glued in, but with a bit of gentle force it can be popped off. You only need to pop off one side to then take the armour off! Its really not as difficult as I make it sound.

If you're unsure I can take a couple of pics later to show you what I mean!

Cheers Really does as well! Even the DX belt helps make it look better! Pretty happy with the neck result! If the neck post hadnt broken a while ago though I wouldn't have dared attempt it!
