Hey Geil,

Yeah, the the plastic part I'm referring to is the plate with the carbon detailing on it that sits over the bicep area. On mine two figures it is a hard thin plastic. So the shoulder armor sits on the bicep plate with plastic on plastic, which I think is why it's not leaking, as there isn't any rubber on plastic. Hope this helps.

curiouse as to whoever has the "plastic" bicepts I want you to help clarify. the plastic part we are talking about leaking is the band/plate that has the carbon pattern on it as a decal. We are not talking about the plate that goes on top of that and curves up a bit towards the shoulder and is attached to the rest of the chest armor via elastic straps?

that one is so deep in the residue thread not sure if anyone can easily find it but it's really just a matter of finding some tissue type paper that can soak the small amounts of residue up and also lifts up the shoulder amour from the bicep plate to act as a barrier. I took a small 1"x1" piece and fold it 4-ways and shoved it underneath the shoulder plate

Sorry bud, you may have mis understood, i've had him a month or so now! However he was put in his box last week as i'm currenrly putting my shelves up.

Yeah i'll have to snap some!! It is an awesome figure. If the leaking doesn't deteriorate anything over time, it gets a thumbs up from me.

I noticed a spot and i mean a SPOT of oil on one bicep and underneath the panel on the stomach but hardly anything that would cause erosion. I'm wondering you guys with the DCD... is it LEAKING or are you just freaking out and over-reacting.

I'm pretty sure I have rubber biceps. It's not as soft as the legs but softer than the abs and shoulders. jut how hard are these platic biceps supposed to be?

Enough to go from lovely dry grey matte black to moisturizer jet black in blotches. Dry dark dry dark on some parts of the trim like on the corners at the front and some around the back at the corners.

If you leave it, it goes like a jelly.

Aw man. I'm gonna have to get one of these new Batmans then. The ones I have have had to be maintained due to a little oil. Think the new Batman's would be leak free.

Anybody got one that seems fine? Mine was got the same week everyone started getting the DCD. I dunno if the biceps are rubber or plastic by peoples standards but it looks like rubber to me.

Now I'm knocking on wood here because who knows what the future holds but so far so good.

As i mentioned if i lift up the stomach plate its slightly moist but sure not a leak i would have never thought twice if i didn't hear people having problems with the DCD version.. Mine stood in a boiling hot record heat wave NY apartment while I was on vacation and holding up like a champ.

My only beef was that when i took off his belt to look underneath his stomach plate the belt dug into the rubber a bit. Just hoping that it says so pristine

As I've stated previously, mine is a DCD batch that I got from redfordfilms in June, and there is no oil at all under the bicep plates; not a dot, a smear, a slick, a smattering or a spot. Maybe down the road something will develop, but as of today it's clean & dry.

That's not to say others do or do not have it, obviously some do. It's equally obvious some don't...at this point it's just the luck of the draw.

I feel bad for those who have had issues with the DCD release, even worse for those who turned to the DCD version after having problems with the overseas batch. It's been one of, if not the most, high profile, problematic releases from Hot Toys to date...and they way they've handled it has made it even worse IMHO.

I'd keep your eye out on here Mate. Probably your best bet. They are scarce to find at online retailers now I think. Well the DCD batch are.

^^ from what I've heard, the ear distortion was from some of the very first batch figures. haven't heard anything wrong with the ears for the DCD batch

Yeah I believe Hot Toys destroyed the molds which were creating dodgy cowls after that first batch!

I'll probably put one for sale here in a few days. Due to the wonders of eBay I ended up "with" (not in hand, just won) two DCD versions of them since I bought one here and then won on the bay as well.
