FANTASTIC pictures there ^ I personally don't see a single thing wrong with this figure - it is perfect in my eyes and I'm so excited about getting one - such a long wait for it though!!
To Thrustmaster: I don't think there's anything wrong with the neck at all on the sonar eyes figure there, it just looks posed at a bad angle. Looks like they have tilted the neck to the figures' left and then tilted the head up straight giving the neck an odd, almost bulging look. Just bad posing.

I think you havent seen/ doesnt think there's anything wrong yet is because EVERYONE is focusing on the gear and the headsculpt etc. Yes the headsculpt is already perfect i don't think it needs modifying. I don't even think the "open mouth" piece needs modifying. If they mod it. cool. if not . so what. no biggie.


But the suit... really becomes pale when compared to the medicom one (yes... medicom one =.=) .... as I've said.. seen it in person .. and the toyhunters have BOTH the old and new DX bats in display (one upper shelf, the other lower) . the suit is CLEARLY the same EXCEPT from the chest piece which is modified. I went back to read MILK magazine again... and the mag said the chest piece is indeed modified but the suit is not.


I do once again hope they MUST mod the suit. and to make him look thinner than now ... .

You know, I'm of two minds on this: on the one hand, I read a lot of posts, and think, jeez, people are nitpicking this fig to death, but then I remember that people are paying $200 (on average) for it, so I don't think it's unreasonable to expect as close to perfection as possible.
My two cents: yes, the fig is probably still a little thicker than what it should be, and particularly the legs still look a little more rubbery than they should, but overall, it is phenomenal! The head sculpt(s) are great, the accessories are what people have been asking for all along (sticky gun, etc), and I'm still waiting to see the final version of the updated suit. Ultimately, I still prefer it to medi (which I'm judging based only on pics, so take that into account), b/c medi looks too "toylike/barbie" (particularly around the face) to me.
I think I'm pretty objective, as the dark knight stuff was the first 1/6 figures I bought, so I have no particular allegiance to one company or another.

since we are pointing out things that are wrong with DX batman the forearms are too big as well. i like how the ones on the medi fig look propotional to the body not all popeyeish.

The suit is tighter, but I don't see any difference in sculpt or much in color to the one out now.

Yes.. especially when u see the REAL prototype yourself you will see what i mean... really not much diff to the first suit.. which definitely doesn't deserve the "newly sculpted suit design" nametag...


Once you see the figure in hand ... you will understand u are paying 200 for the two heads , the faces, and the bomb gun.

That's all I have to say ... wait till a few more weeks have passed and people will start getting more rational and will view it more objectively.

I think there's a bit more to it than just 'two heads, the faces, and the bomb gun'. There's the new thinnner TT, new thinner suit to match, new cape, backpack and the new style stand - which we have still yet to see in it's full working glory on this figure.
I do agree it is a LOT of money, so yes it should really take some objectivity before deciding to buy it or not, but I think the pros definitely outweigh the cons on this one.
More praise for the DX Batman please!!

Lets wait until it comes out to decide that. Remember the early judgments on Medicom's effort? And the massive amount of crow many, many people ended up eating?

Look.. I have already ordered two of these babies and I am not saying the figure doesnt have it badassness to it. But some things are pretty major that needs to be change. You guys haven't seen the real prototype .. that's why all you could do is praise , praise and praise.... without acknowledging the problem.... of course the accessories are all very great.... and ALL that a die-hard batfan like me could hope for ... but just that the suit/fatness issue is hard to ignore... especially when you see the thing in real person

Again, seem that you don't understand what the fuss is all about. I have all the HT batman figures AND the medicom one.. and won't it be frustrating to see that medicom, a more ^^^^ty company to produce movie figures... did a better job on the suit than HT, who SPECIALIZES in creating realistic movie figures? ESPECIALLY this is a SECOND CHANCE for them!!!! DX SHOULD and ALWAYS be a superior product, only if they do it right.. or else, wht's the point of having all these great accessories BUT not the right suit/body? There are many praises and i will leave the praises to you guys. Some ppl gotta see the OBVIOUS mistakes.. it's not even the minor or minute ones which can be ignored (for e.g. I didnt even ONCE complained about the f^^^ing belt).



ONE FINAL THING: I am not saying this figure sucks. This figure rocks of course.. with all these new features. Again, it's just me who felt frustrated on how easy they could change MAJOR things and they didnt.. that's all i'd say about it by now

yes leadercobra. We can both agree that it has got all these great features and I do appreciate their creativity and the effort to release this.


Since as any batfan will now, having a good quality bat figure (not to mention a great batman figure) is hard to come by.

What I was saying is: It's just simple changes they need to tweak to make it into a MUCH better figure. I know what you are saying. it looks JUST like him .. but that is just the headsculpt.. and I never complained about the headsculpt.. never even complained about the changing faces.

Let's just hope this will be a great figure when we see the mass produced version. I do hope the real figure could shut me up too and make me regret all I have said.
