Yo. Check out the actual chest and stomach armour from the DK suit, taken from this pic:

I just transferred onto the Hot toys fig (& altered the colour):

It really is just the the chest & stomach armour pieces. I don't want to nit-pick too much, as I don't really like doing so, as I know a few members don't tend to like reading it. It's just I was messing about on the computer and thought it would be worth posting for those who do want to analyse the figure.

The chest pieces, which feature the bat symbol, are too wide (from left to right) and the stomach armour looks flat and a bit lifeless. The stomach armour pieces, the sort of 'artificial 6-pack', if you like, need to be bigger and closer together, like in the modified picture.

Thin the arms, widen the head and neck, and hey presto, the best Batman figure ever made gets better.

Very nice Shakey. If improvements of these kinds are made.. and if bats is slimmer then it will be hell of a perfect bat fig...(even if it's not 100% accurate)..

the neck is too thin. too much attention has been thrown at the chest, and not enough at the thin neck. have to do my part and throw that in again.

I don't think I'll be loosing any sleep if thats the problem people have been banging on about with the suit I like the material too.

I think my problem with this Thread is, that when you read it all the fun and enjoyment of collecting gets sucked out of you.

at first I gave my comments, sure. I mailed hot toys with suggestions sure.
But to repeat and repeat it over and over again and again, it just makes a man negative.

So I don't even post my suggestions anymore, many others will do it in my place

So I am back to the anticipation threads about the new Marvel line that HT will release.
Anticipation is more fun than nitpicking in time

Figure looks perfect to me. Good thing I don't expect much out of 12" dolls.

they cant improve the body too much otherwise there will be nothing to improve when they decide to improve the soon to be released improved version! hot toys know full well they can release the 'same' body with new pers/cowl etc and it will sell like hot cakes cos collectors buy anything if its something their interested in!

i agree with the neck being too thin also the shoulders dont have a natural slope.

Are you referring to the path from the neck into the arms, because if you are, natural or not, it matches Bale in costume.

I can deal with the suit on a slimmer body. I just want them to correct the cowl sculpt. It's still to elongated.

I do believe I pinched those from the replica life size suits they are making in mass quantity...

I just happened to come across them looking for a 1/6 belt.

that picture is the blue print for the replica suit, not the "real batsuit"...

Like a lot of you I am disappointed with this Batman DX fig. The cowl and face sculpts are pretty great tho it does look a lil long and narrow in some shots. But the suit is a real disappoint for me. I expected perfection from Hot Toys. It really doesn't look a lot better/different from their 1st attempt. Medicom really has done a great representation of recreating the suit. Fair play to them. I'm still angry they designed the MMS Joker and Batman's too early before they had the correct source materials. A lot of people were stung and I haven't forgotten it even some have. It has made me a wary buyer and I'm going to have to sit on this. It really wouldn't surprise if they do release another stab at the suit when the third is eventually made.

Make the changes Hot Toys. Close isn't good enough.
