Yes, the figure still appears too bulky from the majority of pics so far.
Yes, it could do with being slimmer.
Yes, it will still be a kickass figure.

Second one isn't good for comparison, it's a stunt suit with baggier legs to allow him to crouch down like he is in the film. All the promo shots have tighter fitting legs.

Interesting, i wondered why they were baggy. Would be interested to see which one HT took there scaling/design from, imagine if it was the baggy one Or possibly an even worse looking one

I think they are soft rubber for safety purposes - sometimes in films the actors are given rubber guns incase they fall on them or they have them in a holster and it gets crushed into their side - looks like they did the same thing here with the gauntlet blades

It's like in some movies where you can see rubber swords or knives wiggling around.

That really comes down to definition of perfect, and with action figures, even high end ones like HT makes, nothing is ever going to be 100% match to the real thing, there never has been a figure that looks that way, and I doubt there ever will be, there just are limits to standardized bodies and constructing things in 1/6 the scale of the original that get in the way of exact replication.

Things can be better on this figure, but even with a lot of the suggested improvements being carried out, in some way, this figure will still seem short of perfect to some folks, and probably as it is now is perfect to some folks.

1:1 replication is impossible, so perfection really comes down to your personal contentment with the figure, it can be perfect for you or it can't.

I kinda fear that by the time this figure comes out the design for the 3rd movie gets revealed and I will cut of my balls and feed them to a guppy.

Well a major accusation of the TDK suit is that it was driven by marketing to make for different toys you could sell, though anyone seeing the children's TDK figures would know there were numbers of them not even based off the film suit.

If the change truly was to aid in the story aspect of Batman's need for speed and movement and to help Bale filming, it's quite possible there will be no change in costume for the next film. There could be, but as far as filmmaking and story go, I can't think of any reason right now to change it again, they seemed to put a lot of effort into making it easier to work in for Bale already, I imagine every improvement they could make for him has been done.

Better visit a fish emporium because rumor has it that Nolan might be going in this direction for Batman 3. Man...I sure hope so because this suit allows for excellent protection while providing full range of motion!

True true but look at the massive strength being displayed with that ball of pure steel....I'll like to see Bale do that instead of picking on a wimpy Director of Photography....
