Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Ive pulled the wire out of a few capes. It's not too hard it just takes a while.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

@CBob - Even if you fish the wire out will it drape naturally considering there's also a hem?

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

...if that sculpt was changed, it wasn't changed much.

After seeing OMG's pics, I can barely tell the difference between them now. Wouldn't surprise me on bit if that was the same sculpt as before. :monkey1

If you can't see the changes after all these pics from the prototype, you really need to go see an eye Dr.

I've mine ordered with CornerStoreComics, what sort of time frame am I looking at, dispatch wise?

Well i'd wet it and let it air dry so it hangs nicely, but yeah i would think it would be ok. When i get mine and if the wire really bugs me i'll have a go.

Without the wire there is no way this cape will hang right. It's too think.

IMO, the wire is the best thing the cape has going for it.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

This looks like it is hanging very naturally to me :dunno

I just think you need to futz it a bit

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Yep. And that's with the wire. Without it it will just hang like a quilt. Doubt it would get those nice curves without the wire...

...sounds like I'm talking about a bra...

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Yeah your most probably right Maglor as cloaks can be a pain and take alot of wetting to get decent.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

A natural cape should fall like this
IV_Location_Reeve.jpg

Not this. The wire is so obvious.

a week at most after SS gets it but they usually have their stock like a day or two after SS from my experience with them, sometimes sooner

Looking forward to getting this...rewatching all the films (well, not IV)...rereading Superman vs Hollywood and Superman: Secret Origins...

And FLYING THE FIGURE ROUND MY HOUSE WHILE MAKING SWOOSHING NOISES!!!!!!!!!

Honestly, I'm trying to let the wire bother me, and it just doesn't.

Yep. I have reached the point where I can't honestly expect anything more in a figure. Perfection? Perhaps not. Awesomely awesome? Yessir :)

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

For me, yes it would have been great with no wire as I intend only to pose him standing. I can totally understand why it was fitted as alot of people will have him in the flying pose

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

The figure looks great... and I think we have ample evidence in that the Indy threads are racking up tons of posts (mostly arguing) whereas this thread is a peaceful and agreeable as can be :lol

The better the figure, the quieter the response :lecture
