Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Now, See this is the kind of pic that gets me upset. Someone want to tell me why the hell Tim Burton couldn't have done that with the costume? This just proves that you can do that costume with the comic color scheme and make it look good. :)

Oh and nice work DiFabio. :wink1: :lol

I for one and VERY glad it was not like that in the movie. As much as I like the Grey and Blue in comics, it really doesn't work in real life...black is much more suited to sneaking and blending with the shadows...Plus I believe Burton wanted to really hit home the darkness of batman

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Been meaning to post one of mine. He looks lonely, so I was thinking about perhaps adding Jor-El. Anyone here have one and, if so, are you happy with him? I remember him being one of those figures produced RIGHT before Hot Toys started doing better sculpts.

Great picture, Jason. The figure really pops in that shot.

I really want in the next Batman franchise for it to go back to the comic batsuit, nothing fancy or flashy.

The Arkham suit has be the best modern take on it, the Dark Knight suit is way too busy looking.

Or basic blue and gray. I think the next movie needs a white eyed Batman. TDK was silly.

absolutely agreed. i think it makes sense that batman would have lenses in his cowl covering his eyes. thats the one thing with the dark knight suit that really bugs me. why would he show his eyes?

Ok guys I have a dilemma, I have to decide on wether to buy one of these 3 figures: Jack Sparrow, CR Superman, and Symbiote Spider-Man.

My collection so far only consists of red & blue Spidey, Iron Man MKIV, DX 02 Batman TDK, Iron Man MKIII, & FA Captain America. So if I get Jack he kinda clashes with the superhero theme, but I'm sort of a Spider-Man fanboy so naturally I want the black suit to go with my R&B, and well Superman just looks fricken awesome.

In the end I know it comes down to my opinion but I'd still like to hear you guy's input. Thanks!

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I say go for Reeve Superman!

As you stated you kinda have a super hero themed collection going on so it would be only right to add a Superman to your line up.

The black Spiderman is indeed cool looking, but you already have the most known & iconic look of Spiderman so that takes care of that character as a whole in my view. Plus I feel that as years go by they'll be other POTC figures/merchandise to go around, whereas the Reeve Superman merchandise will wont be as relevant. I mean Im sure they'll be little things here & there but that license want get as much attention from companies due to the more trendy, current & future versions of super hero flicks.

Because actors use their eyes A LOT to convey emotion? :huh

i agree with both AStar and Khonus70… hit the Reeves Superman and it is all in the eyes of the actor!

Black Spidey, CR Superman...pass on Sparrow. Done. :)

Spiderman and Superman are iconic characters that are timeless. Jack Sparrow will be old news by the time my kid is ready for High School.

I agree. I had sparrow for a while and sold him. Great looking figure and very cool to display because of the accessories and options but if your choosing between those three, Sparrow should be off the list.

If you can afford all three more power to you cause they are all great.
