hehe... i guess it's the same thing. so then, just be honest about it... it's not overpriced because of the rising cost or any such bullcrap. it's overpriced because we, the buyers, let the price go that wild. if no one is buying hermes bags for crazy price, then the price will adjust itself.

ht knows no matter how crazy they set the price, people will keep on po-ing. so if you find ht's price disagreeable, blame the greedy bastards at ht, and then blame yourself for succumbing everytime.

Blaming a collector for price increases is ABSURD. I've always hated that thought.

I am one of those who PO's everything I want. Just because me and whatever percentage of the hobby can afford to pay for these unnecessary collectibles, doesn't mean thats why prices go up. Maybe it simply means I have the money, can afford to get this and love the collectible enough to justify the price.

As previously mentioned, everything in the world is going up in price. If anyone is part of the "I am close to being priced out of this hobby" group, I feel bad for you. I may be there one day too. Just bow out and accept that life goes on. Don't make excuses for your inability to afford something. Get a higher paying job. Manage your money better. Get access to your parents bank account.

Blaming a collector for price increases is ABSURD. I've always hated that thought.

Maybe it simply means I have the money, can afford to get this and love the collectible enough to justify the price.

I'd put the blame on the first idiot that paid "x2, x3, x4 the price," the others just followed suit...

Maybe it simply means I have the money, can afford to get this and love the collectible enough to justify the price.

I wish I could explain this really well to my friends
who raise their eyebrows when I say how much I spend on these toys.

Absolutely agree. The argument that prices for everything goes up doesn't wash when Sideshow or the other companies are raising prices for their figures over time at a fraction of what Hot Toys does.

.....you know what that's actually not a bad idea wasn't planning to have her just standing anyways. But still hopefully that's just a defect with the prototype.

This has to be a different HS. Or the eyes aren't stationary.First is from Anicom. Second from STGCC

I have just pre-ordered this. I did it via the SideShow Freaks WOLVERINE link to the SSC page so the forum should still get the benefit. I believe that this still works as long as you go by any of the board's "Order Now" links. This is still correct is it not? Coming in at <$195 I did not want to miss out on it. Yes, I know how unlikely that is...

As for the different eyes, I'm not sure Mike, That could just be reflection and angle creating the illusion, the figure on the right is clearly 'up-lit' with the camera lower down and further away, whereas with the one on the left it is lit more from above and behind with the camera much closer. That's certainly my impression.

Wow! Something has just occurred to me. Though I have loads of 1/6 SSCs from Buffy and Bond, this will be only my second ever female Hot Toys figure (my first will be Black Widow). My wife really does not mind...tolerating as she does my particular form of madness

You may be right. I thought they were different because it appears as though you can see white below her actual pupils on the left pic, not the right. Who knows.
