Back to CW, a person in FB said he asked someone [i forgot who]
at the con and that someone told him that the mask is removable.

Kinda doubt it, though. It should've been in the specs if it were really
removable.

ht's specs are adjustable. t2 arnie's grey shirt did not appear in the original spec, neither did leonidas's 2nd head if i'm not mistaken.

but a magnetic mask/face is so easy to do, that if they dont end up doing it for this fig it'll be only because they're saving the mask-less hathaway's face sculpt for another version coming up. that's the only reason.

to anyone saying 'the mask-less is not needed, not in the scene! wawawa... removable mask will be hard to adjust right. wawa... magnet hard to do.. wawawa!!!, let me just say this to you... you're wrong.

as for the 'rising cost' vs 'greed' debate, unless you're a biased hardcore ht fanatic i really dont see how anyone can see the plain and obvious.

ht figures are waaaay overpriced, and i'm not only talking selina.

more and more collectors in my country dont even pre-order anymore. if we wait until the figure is released it will be available from secondary market for $10-20 lower than the po price. if we wait another year after release, we can save $50 or over.

r:e alice is now going for $80
tracker pred for about $90
something as recent as mark II uv you can now get for $150, about $20 lower than po price.

my point is, dont po straight away like mad everytime. dont be so eager to give ht all your money right out the gate. wait. just wait a while. buy later and cheaper. then hopefully sooner or later ht will get the message... that their price is indeed becoming more and more unreasonable.

hehe... i guess it's the same thing. so then, just be honest about it... it's not overpriced because of the rising cost or any such bullcrap. it's overpriced because we, the buyers, let the price go that wild. if no one is buying hermes bags for crazy price, then the price will adjust itself.

ht knows no matter how crazy they set the price, people will keep on po-ing. so if you find ht's price disagreeable, blame the greedy bastards at ht, and then blame yourself for succumbing everytime.

It's the license owners that decide what HT can make and include with a figure.

where are u finding such cheap prices?, I must know, for me I see an increase of prices after a figure is released.

The complaint is that it would be a very easy thing to incorporate IMO which would save the trouble of customising that aspect, for $190 and complete barebones, it's not too much to ask IMO

And I got the Demon Bats and Scarecrow set for well below retail (then stupidly sold them ).

I have a feeling the same will happen to Bane.

But this figure looks great, so who knows...

The price for everything is getting more and more unreasonable. Is there anything that costs the same today as it did in 2008?

One of my other hobbies (snowmobiling) has seen a 30% increase in the cost of a new machine since 2009 and almost 100% increase in price since 2002.

I have been wanting to get an Alice but the cheapest i have seen is around $120 for a loose figure, new in the box is $140 up + shipping

So Talk where are you getting figures this cheap?
