The waiting game has been excruciating with constant delays(along with IM MkVII for me), hopefully the final piece will look great.

The sentence was pretty clear, and it requires the if. My reply was based on the if, so I don't get the latest remark. I'm so confident that the price will only go up that I'm willing to wager some money, you can even devise a point spread if you'd like.

I totally agree on making deadlines.
Seriously there is no art but one simple truth. Hot Toys has no real threat or competitors to really push them in either price or schedule such as Samsung to Apple. Enterbay? phffff Passion for Procrastination is more their slogan which allows HT to over promise and under deliver without any worry where the collectors money will go.

They are a monopoly with very little competition...they raise prices without flinching...

Hot Toys is a monopoly? That's like saying BMW or Mercedes or Apple or Samsung have a monopoly. Being successful and a desired brand does not make a monopoly - not by a long shot. They don't employ (and therefore control) the majority of top sculptors in the industry. They rely on a third party, who has product lines of their own, to handle most of their distribution and sales. They don't force (or have the power to force) stores to carry only their product instead of others. They don't even have exclusive licensing to the vast majority of the products they produce, and in fact for some have to ride on other companies licenses (SW, Indiana Jones to name two). I wouldn't even be surprised to find out they don't even have their own factory. There are a lot of players in the 1/6 collectible game.

Now if we're talking tongue-in-cheek, I'd say they have a monopoly on superior quality. But that's just a funny way to say they're at the top of their game.

My post was a statement of wondering if its going to drop in price. Hence the "if".
Your post is solely an opinion that you stated as a peckerhead remark.

It's going to be interesting to see the price of all 1/6 collectibles drop IF the sky falls tomorrow.

That's an example of something as plausible (and interesting) as what you suggested. I wasn't making my remark to be a smart ***, I was just trying to add a reality-check to the preposterous (and funny) remark that was made - while also trying to be funny. And I'm not saying anything about whether or not watching the pricing change would even be interesting - because I'd imagine it would be quite boring.
