The pole. The cap at the top of the hole can fall out simply but it helps locate the gripping arm.
However yes, the pole is just pushed into the base.
Don't force in with lateral movement. Twist it in, and it'll be fine. Same with the grip.

Yeah I did that. Took it all the way out. It was still really tight.

Anyway, he's awesome. I'll be posing him all night while I watch boxing. haha

And an HT quality face sculpt for Terence Stamp and Gene Hackman's Lex. If Mattel could pull out their below average efforts, then HT should be a 'shoe-in'
