MMS83 - Hellboy II – HELLBOY figure Spec and Hi-res pics

I recommend everyone pick up a black shirt and a Truetype and start making HB a worthy body. I love the look of the rubber body but HB is a man of action.

Thanks, and it's very easy to do. Everything swaps over to a normal trueype perfectly. All I did was glue some very simply shaped Sculpey piece to the chest and torso to pad him out a little.
The figure pictured sadly met a tragic end, but I'm about to start version 2.0. The real challenge is the tail.

I had mine in the poster pose (with his fist in the ground) and I decided ah let me change him up.

So I picked him up and went to straighten the legs.... His right leg from the knee cap down broke off....... I have no idea wtf the happened.

Luckily with the stand I can kind of hide the fact that his leg is busted. Real bummer though

That sucks! I would almost have to buy another one if that were me because I like this figure so much and hold it in high regard.

Its a very weird break, I'm debating taking his whole leg off and replacing it with a truetype. Do you think that would work or do you think I'd do more damage than good??

It should be fine. Have any pictures of the break? There were several posts about the leg breaking from this guy. The thought behind it is the use of red plastic made the knees weaker.

mine also broke at his right knee a few months ago, and I have seen at least one person before who's also broke at that same spot. I too also felt it's caused by using cheap red plastic, possibly on an earlier batch only; I remember that feel of cheap red plastic softly tearing when playing with toys as a kid, it felt the exact same way when I bent my Hellboy's right knee and it just sort of melts and tears.

It's the truth...I just stood there with my mouth open thinking WTF! Took me a day or so to get the peg out as it busted clean off with the wrist.

I don't think I've reposed Dutch since.

The right knee joint of mine was also broken for no apparent reason (at least not my fault because I never handle in force) from the beginning.
As robbiethepainter said, it comes from the quality of plastic used, but I perfectly reattached it with glue for plastic models. The key is to let it well dry before handling (24 hours). If you have lost no fragment and the break is clean, I think you should be able to do the same.

This was the pose I had him in, I dont know if you remember Baloo but I even asked you how you got him in that pose. Well lol its the pose that broke his leg apparentely lol.

But I was able to finally get the leg back on so it looked clean and glued it back so all is well. I wish I had a picture of my face when I took him out of the case and his calf just dropped to the floor

I like Abe, but I was going back hunting some older figures I missed and got tired of spending money.

I know he's even cheaper than most but the hunt included Hellboy, Batman OC, Wolverine, Dutch and Predator 1.

He might be a "someday" figure....just too much coming out currently and it will probably never end.

Oh RTP, I still need that Mark I as well you know...just about another $350 +...no biggie.

No, no....don't sell it...trade it...to me for my Mark IV Tony HS. Geez remember? We talked about this....

My exposure to Hellboy has only been from the films and while I liked the first one I really enjoyed the second. Much like the Blade series for me. So that said I have to admit I am an average fan but in general I would like to see HT's do more figures from the films. Purchase them or not I would love to see more added to people's collections.

I have to say out of the figures I own, shelf presence aside, Hellboy is one of my, if not my, absolute favorite figures.
