Re: Molecule8 (New company)

I doubt they would ever cover that body in silicone or vinyl. That skeleton is not intended to be used the same way as the Phicen metal armature.

I'm sure they'll make it very clear how it will be used in the future - KA Kim posted that more news/info is upcoming. May is only a week away after all.

Re: Molecule8 (New company)

From the design of the under body it looks like a magnetic base....But why not just do what Blitz done with scarface?
We know all too well from Storm how crap these rubber bodies are! :lecture

Like previous guys said " what's the point if bulk of it covered?"
Also they aren't really advertising much are they all of their accounts don't have a single picture on person on Facebook sharing info is KA. What gives? :dunno
:lol:lol

Re: Molecule8 (New company)

Ha-ha, they are definitely good in intrigue promoting.
Make us wait and guess, but follow all the updates.

We know from Storm and Hot Toys how crap their materials can be (whatever they're made of, maybe some type of PVC) - and we know from Phicen how well silicone can work over an armature.

Re: Molecule8 (New company)

That skeleton is cool looking, don't really get how it works with the head sculpt shown (which looks great). Not getting this figure but interested to see what the finished product looks like and then future releases

Re: Molecule8 (New company)

My theory about the skeleton is they threw it together, knew that it looked cool and would intrigue collectors, and they do not have to worry about whether it will work with skin, head, skull, etc...because they know that the actual figures will never be made...its all just cool smoke and mirrors to make people part with their $300 in hopes of getting "THE ULTIMATE ACTION FIGURE!"

I'm usually pretty cynical about things but I keep asking myself if it's just a huge con like you suggest, why would K.A. Kim have anything to do with them?

You're getting a glimpse, minus the technology, of what it was like to live during things like the inquisition and salem witch hunts, etc... Just waiting for someone to suggest hopping on a United flight to get together to stone someone.

I am right there with you...in fact her involvement is the only reason that I still check this thread and have not completely moved on...We know, however, that she is a freelancer and is not on their payroll. It is always possible that she did the job, created the masterpiece that they are showing on their site, and is now just excited about the prospect of sharing her work and getting it into the hands of collectors. I doubt she is sitting in on their business meetings. Its probably no different than being the freelance penciller on Spider-Man number 576. You are excited that your comic book is going to hit the shelves so you tell everyone about it but you would not really have any way of knowing if the book is going to be cancelled two issues later or if the whole company is about to file for bankruptcy...

In fairness...we are just talking about action figures here...I am passionate about my collecting but...yikes...:)

Presumably if they turn out to be crooks, it would hurt her reputation by association so you'd assume she did due diligence. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. It's not a figure I'm interested in, despite admiring Lennon greatly, but I'm intrigued how this turns out. Some of the other licences they claim to be working do interest me.

As others have already pointed out at least Paypal gives protection in case of any potential issues.

Re: Molecule8 (New company)

I will check back when they release something I'm interested in. I'm more of a Rolling Stones fan rather than the Beatles. I am always interested in a new quality player in this game tho'

Re: Molecule8 (New company)

She's tearing this group apart!

Re: Molecule8 (New company)

Yeah, not interested in figures of people from pop groups. I'm just here eating popcorn while the retired Nigerian generals watch the preorder money rolling in and plan their next scam. :monkey3

Now, if they actually show some Ghostbusters or Jack Burton then the fun really begins. [emoji38]
I have no interest in Lennon either, but if anybody is interested in this.....real cheap! PM me!bridge-for-sale.jpg
