I think there's a new king of the hill (sorry Lurtz).

He looks awesome, but I don't really remember there being all that red material under his armor. Was that there in the movies? it just seems kind of bright in contrast to everything else. And I'm just depressed cause I was told by SS that these wouldn't be shipping before Christmas and yet people are already receiving them. They need to get their act together.

All of them will probably not ship before Christmas. And if you're worried (depressed!!!?), just e-mail SS and ask them to hold your's a couple of weeks. I'm sure they will if they just told you that it wasn't suppose to ship before the holiday

The red is probably film accurate as you said, Matt. But this orc got a brand new shirt. The one of the proto is old and terribly dirty. And that's how I remembered them from the movie. Looks like there will be some custom weathering jobs around

On today´s newsletter it says that Moria Orc will be shipping in the next 30 days. So how come you already got it???????

I don't want them to hold it, I want to get it before Christmas if it happens that way. I'm just hoping I get mine before Christmas instead of after. Hopefully alot of other people do too.

yeah looks great, have to reserve judgement on the red until i see more in hand pics.
even if the color is on, the material looks newer less wrinkles and tears that the prototype imo

Someone should forward this picture to Sideshow and ask them to double check with people in China to make sure they are using the right material. The red is just too bright.... Hopefully, they'll be able to correct them and send out the right version of red.

The material is redder than the prototype, but we did bump up the contrast some in the pictures to show more detail. It really doesn't look that red to me.

I do wish the material was more like the prototype's color because it should match the color on his forearm.

ah, a little bit of airbrushing will fix him right up. we'll be lucky if that's the only thing we have to worry about. imo

Nice pics. But is it me, or does he look too big based on the last pic. It seems if he's standing up, he'll be as tall or close to being as tall as Lurtz. Surely that can't be based on the size of the characters in the movie. Then again, it just might be the angle of the shot.

I feel the same...even though he's standing on a pile of rocks he still looks taller than he should be.

I really hope I can secure this guy to come in before the holidays but If not I will survive. The red is a bit annoying but I am going to try and tone it down somehow.

Yeah SS must be in the christmas spirit. First it was the red lips of Galadriel and now the red overcoat for the Orc.
