Being outside the influence of the haters isn't ignorance.

Sorry but i think your definition here of "hater" is a bit skewed.

How are we haters when we actually WANTED this piece to succeed in all aspects? Most of us here were doing nothing but cheering this piece on in high anticipation, but are now let down by the final result.

Yes it is ignorance when buyers are not able to be as informed as they could have been.

here's what I'm doing.. if I cancell now I'm out $20.:monkey2
I'm NOT going to cancell it but pay it off and let it ship..when I get it in hand and it still strikes me as an angry elf then I'll pay the $35 or so to ship it back and get a refund. ehh I'll pay the extra $15-$20 to make sure. the red just stands out to a point of just making it off. personally the weathering is a secondary concern and not what struck me. it's all the red color and that's what EVERYONE first saw and thought when they saw it . I'm positive NO ONE said that's perfect when they saw the first pic.. :monkey4

I'm not saying that the situation with the Moria Orc is comparable, just that non-members are more likely to be happy with the figure over those that have been exposed to all the negativity.

And you know this how exactly? Have you spoken to all these non-members individually? Evidence please!

All this talk about screen/behind the scenes accuracy is a load of codswallop… so much smoke and mirrors to keep folks from asking hard questions. Bottom line Sideshow did and so far has not delivered the piece they advertised and sold.

I don't buy the whole "screen accurate" argument. If this is true, then someone please explain Galadriel to me? Her red lips clearly are NOT screen accurate, yet collectors bought her anyways. Why? Because the final piece held true to what we saw in the prototype, with the satisfactory change with her hair. The only thing buyers ask for is that they get what they pre-order, whether it's screen accurate or not....period.

It's obvious to me that there has been a change to the Moria Orc. And no matter how many pictures you take or adjust the lighting, etc., red is red and it's not the same as in the prototype.

I really am frustrated with Sideshow marketing these really professional-looking prototypes and then something happening in the production process with the Chinese factories and finding major changes in the final piece -- and Sideshow not doing anything to address the problem to keep it from happening again. $300 is a lot of money for something that is going to sit on a shelf and collect dust, especially when it's something you aren't completely satisfied with.

Until Sideshow does something to address these prototype to production snafus, I refuse to pre-order future items. I'll take my chances with items selling through and waiting until I see in-hand photos before I make any decisions. It's the only way I know that my money will be well spent.

The SS shill speaks again. Sorry DD but you're ability to look at anything SS does in an objective manner, and be taken seriously, doesn't exist anymore.

Firstly, this is the fault of those of us who are disgusted with what SS has done for "stirring up crap and making things worse".

Then, this whole thing is a non-issue.

And now, we who really wanted this piece are "haters" because we are angry at what SS has done and the way they handled things.

Does that pretty well sum it up? If ignorance is bliss I imagine you must be a really happy guy right about now.

:lecture :lecture :lecture

I agree 110% , Galadriel wasn't more screen accurate with the red lips, but, we got what we ordered. I'd like to see the people who say "it's more film / screen accurate" try to get out of this one.

Hmmm.... this sort of reminds me of something else...

EXACTLY WHAT I THOUGHT!

In those pics its not that bright red. Looks pretty much Burgundy to me. Where you have normal shadows and light mixing in I should say. If you have bright light and/or flash on it then the thing gets much brighter.

It's as red as the Kool-aid you're drinking Josh! Ooo Yeah!

Cancelled the exclusive.:sick

Simply cannot get my head around that red, :banghead and the current exchange rate does rather put the mockers on this one I am afraid. Also, if when it did arrive, I was not happy at all, then the return postage from the UK would be unbearable. Not worth the risk for me.

There will be better coming along in the future I am sure, and I am still hanging on to the Berserker excl for now.

Still looking forward to all the pics when you get this in hand and even more so to the custom jobs on the tuning down the tunic.

I just received "Processing Alert Notice" email from Sideshow. I called them to cancel it since online changes were not allowed. I asked the rep if they had fixed the shirt coloring and she wasn't even aware of any issue with them.

The EXCLUSIVE has been cancelled. I didn't want to deal with shipping it back to them. Besides, I'll be saving Sideshow the shipping fees. I'll put that fund to the Abomination PF or Bowen statues.

Best wishes to those who don't mind the new look of Moria Orc.

Just received the processing e-mail as well and cancelled my order for the exclusive immediately.

This makes me feel :sick but I hope at least this way SS will learn that they can't feed us everything and we'll just swallow it.

Question: Have these offending in-hand photos been taken of just one bad piece or have there been multiple cases of this bright red material?

So far, I believe about 3-5 of them all had the same color. We haven't seen one that looks like the pictures from Sideshow.
