I did receive a figure last year without any issues from MB. The only issue I've been having is this 1 month delay and receiving the correct amount of power points. I wouldn't say the situation is that bad as some people here would like it to be. Saying that people have been waiting for a figure since August when that figure came in stock December is... exaggerating things. And it's up to the buyer if he wants to pay for it all on pre-order or not, or pay a deposit. And delays are not uncommon with Sideshow and Hot Toys, so you can't really blame MB for not having the QS001 in stock in September. It was released in HK in September and arrived in Europe around mid-December.

I pay for my figures in full. That way I don't have to think about my budget as carefully and save up or end up in a situation where the figure is released and I don't happen to have any money to pay for it. I pay in full if I have the cash. I don't do deposits as those are non-refundable. After I've paid I'm free to use my cash as I want. But I'm gonna be more careful about it in the future as some of these companies can go down like ModelZone did, though I doubt that's the situation with Mother's Basement. Things seems to be going really well for them, they don't just sell Hot Toys and Sideshow, but other stuff too. If there really were that many people that had problems with MB they wouldn't have over 8500 likes on facebook. I believe those of us with delayed figures and refunds, are just a minority. Usually a minority shows their dissatisfaction more than the majority shows their satisfaction and it may appear as if that minority was actually the majority.

I found a store in Germany, space-figuren.de which doesn't take any money until the item arrives in stock so I think that's the retailer I'll stick with in the future. I'd use OSB more if it weren't for their £35 shipping costs. I don't understand why they insist on using that expensive shipping method. It's not like I can't wait 3-4 days more for a better price when I've waited a year for a figure to come out since pre-order.

Maybe they use that shipping method as it's insured for both parties

Also with the pre-order prices being as low as they are your probably paying around the same

I understand that they use that method because it's faster and it's insured. But it's also insured with the other UK retailers, just that they charge a lower shipping price.

Yeah it lands on about the same price as MB just that MB gives you points to use for your next purchase. That's why I bought mostly from MB and not OSB.

Yeah, the points are meaningless to me now haha. I don't think I'll be ordering from MB again.

Not that the points have been added to my account anyway. They still say pending despite paying months ago

The points will be usable once your item is shipped.

Why? Surely you take any release date with a pinch of salt. You haven't posted 3,420 times on here and not realised that release dates quoted by suppliers are at the very best, pure guesswork loosely based on what Sideshow tell the wholesaler. When have you ever had a figure that came out on the date the supplier quoted? I've never seen it.

I buy all my figures from eBay.

The 1/4 scale with Mother's B was my first ever pre-order.

Buy it now on eBay means you get the figure within 1 to 2 weeks of it being released in Hong Kong.

Luckily I cancelled my boba Mythos with them as they said it would be February hopefully!! I got my money back and ordered one from SS two days before they sold out, personally I wouldn't buy from them again.

Did that guy say he had £1,400 worth of orders or MB had his £1,400?

£1400 paid in full for pre-orders including shipping. Yeah, looks like I got mugged. My bank will solve this though, I'm sure of it.
