Two more. The first shows where the seam is on the back arm. It is under the delt and only visible from that angle.

Thanks for the pictures but how about some pictures in some natural lighting without using the flash?

Flash pictures never help a piece look better.

I tried, but they were too dark to see almost anything. It's been dark and gloomy all day. Maybe tomorrow I'll get some more sunlight in my house. Those photos were the best I could do today.

Finally some pics! Thank you... :peace
Overall it looks good. Too much flash hokes it a little bit. Something is wrong with the eyes I think. Too big or something...

I just got mine...I'm at work so I just opened him up to check his face. It's not nearly as bad as the one pictured at the NYCC but they did change the face from the prototype which really sucks because that looked great IMO.

Anyways, I'm keeping him (as the boy said in E.T.) and I will post some pics tonight. Sorry, I'm at work now and I can't start snappin' here. I haven't even checked the base or trident yet!

I'm sorta relieved by all of this...I can't wait to open him back up!!

I think I'm keeping mine too. Could have been better, but I've always liked Namor, in this outfit too. Also, I got #5/350, which isn't a big deal, but cool nonetheless.

That's a neat little feather in your cap, I believe numbers 1 and 2 are always kept in house so you're inching close to the top. Although something tells me if I buy this in a couple of years from the SSC site (I really think this will hang out for a while) then I'll get a number still in the low 30s

ok what is that in your first picture??? at the base of his lh arm, it looks like it's ready to fall off or something. is that the attachment point for his arm, and is it just not on all the way, or does it not fit properly??

Yes, that is where the arm attaches with a post and magnets. It fits alright, but when you're putting the trident in his hand it shifts a little. I could have positioned it a little better.

ok , thought we might have another red santa situation here.:lol

If you're a Sub-Mariner fan, I think he's worth it. In fact, I really like this piece and I'm happy I got him. The base and it's colors is spectacular! The paint job on his flesh looks fine but where boundaries between wrist bands and speedo occur the paint ops could have and should have been much better. I imagine anyone who is a pro at custom painting could really work some magic on the trident and get it looking much better and bring out some details. The face isn't as good as the prototype but I'm okay with it now.

There is an evident seam where the arm fits under the deltoid and the posts under his feet attaching to the base can be seen at some angles. None of these really bother me but I know some get their panties in a wad over these things.

I've pointed out what I think the negatives are but overall I really like this piece and I'm glad Sideshow produced it. I think he's a great character and worthy of inclusion in any Marvel line.

P.S
The led screen on my camera is broke so I cannot read any of my settings nor do I have a tripod with me so this is all I can do...

I'll keep mine too but it is definitely not worth the money!

I think it's worth the money. It all depends on what bugs you and what doesn't bug you about a particular piece. I can knit-pick all of Sideshow's stuff but in the end it's the overall look of the piece and this one will look great in my collection.

Of course, if you're not a Sub-Mariner fan (not you, I'm speaking just in general) I would say it's probably not worth the $250. I know I would never pay $250 for anything Venom or Carnage or Cable, etc. no matter what the consensus was of this forum or any other forum. I think you have to dig the character first and then decide whether Sideshow did him any justice.

I totally agree... displayed with other statues it will look great.
But I think if you focus only this one there are too many little bugs compared with other statues.
And I refer to a charge of 366$!:google

i'll probably keep him but why the hell did they change his face? he looked better before.

That's how I feel. I don't think we'll ever get another Namor from SS, so this one will have to do for me.
