butterface boy!....I'm still thanking the gods I cancelled!...someone here brave enough should customize the face....

This is one of the few Marvel pieces that I didn't even bother ordering to begin with. Looked awfully gay as a proto, and apparently didn't seem to imprive any during the production process.

Wow is this thing ugly. The face, the pose, and the silly seams in the shoulders, all bad. What a waste of a perfectly good comiquette.

Well....I got mine today and I am actually very happy with it. I will be in the minority with buzzybean but in hand it looks pretty cool to me. Maybe it was because of lowered expectations from all the negativity.

I am not sure why so many are bashing this one so badly. It is not perfect but it isn't a throw away train wreck either...but to each their own.

I don't notice the face/teeth "issues" as much in person as when the face is focused on and blown up on a computer screen. The head doesn't look too large in person. The "wrinkles" would be there if you had a sneering, clenched jaw like Namor is sporting and he does have some of the same texture spots on the forearms and hands like what is on his face.

The seam on the back arm doesn't bother me as it is not noticeable from the front. I don't know how else they could have done it as the back arm is bent differently at the elbow. I wouldn't even notice the foot peg that is barely sticking out unless I was looking for it.

Two small issues:

I don't know why they bothered to paint over the magnets for the arm. I would think that would help inhibit the strength of the magnets.

Also, mine doesn't sit quite right on the base. I will need to do a little work on one of the pegs so it fits down all the way.

Couple of quick pics as it is getting late.

Those are some great pics Natrix. And time to buy more booze.

He is magnificent . . .

Like has been mentioned before, I can’t imagine another Sub-Mariner statue ever being done on this scale again . . .

The flat top and flat face are the looks of the classic subby I remember. This is how he is supposed to look !!

It really is a huge statue and the base is perfect . .

I really love it . . . and the trident is a must have . . .

what happened to that guy who was sooo adamant in defending this sexy, hot mess!?.....did you get it!?...whatcha think of it!?

I got to see it in person at my LCS, not too bad. If I could get it for cheap, I would. It's pretty big. Just the face leaves something to be desired.

I converted mine to flex pay, so I could afford Iron Spidey. The picks don't have me second guessing or anything, but I agree with everyone about the face, more or less.

The face is really the only letdown with this. If only they would have left it the way it was...still a real cool piece!

why did they, make the seam on the raised arm anyways. the ironman comiqu's were as big and they didn't require attachable arms???

maybe for the purpose of attaching the trident, but i would think the trident could've been removable without making his whole arm come off.

just every pic i see the joints appears to very obvious imo.:(

There's a couple of posts earlier in this thread where people have mentioned they had to do it this way. I don't know...it's hidden from view when displayed so it doesn't really bug me.
