Good team for Farmar to land.

I actually like Shannon better. You guys better lock of Fish before Miami gets their hands on him :lol. Mike Miller is still available, Tony Allen, Shaq, last years LA scrubs,B. Miller, I believe JJ Reddick is as well. Rasheed is still out there too if he wants to come back :slap

Fish will be signed.. Not 100% sure about brown, Farmar is gone..

Most that agree to come to Miami will have to for less money.. They'll get 1 or 2 of those guys.. the rest theyll get what they pay for.. M. Miller would be a huge addition IMO.. SHaq will want more money and wore out his welcome there.. He'll go to ATL or Dallas for the 5 mill slot..

I have been watching all this free agency 24/7 since the 1st and I have to say I feel kind of exhausted from it. A lot of stuff goin on. I thought we had it bad in Sac, I feel so bad for Cle. I still cant get my head around him choosing a rosterless Maimi over a proven Chi team. If they dont win it all, this will be the biggest blunder of talent in sports history. Most ppl are picking thhis 3 player team to win it all, but i am far from convinced right now, but I cant wait for October to come around

Cavs owner to the people.. I highlit the good parts,,

Dear Cleveland, All Of Northeast Ohio and Cleveland Cavaliers Supporters Wherever You May Be Tonight;

As you now know, our former hero, who grew up in the very region that he deserted this evening, is no longer a Cleveland Cavalier.

This was announced with a several day, narcissistic, self-promotional build-up culminating with a national TV special of his “decision” unlike anything ever “witnessed” in the history of sports and probably the history of entertainment.

Clearly, this is bitterly disappointing to all of us.

The good news is that the ownership team and the rest of the hard-working, loyal, and driven staff over here at your hometown Cavaliers have not betrayed you nor NEVER will betray you.
There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you.

You simply don’t deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal.
You have given so much and deserve so much more.

In the meantime, I want to make one statement to you tonight:

I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS ONE

You can take it to the bank.

If you thought we were motivated before tonight to bring the hardware to Cleveland, I can tell you that this shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own has shifted our “motivation” to previously unknown and previously never experienced levels.

Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there.
Sorry, but that’s simply not how it works.

This shocking act of disloyalty from our home grown “chosen one” sends the exact opposite lesson of what we would want our children to learn. And “who” we would want them to grow-up to become.

But the good news is that this heartless and callous action can only serve as the antidote to the so-called “curse” on Cleveland, Ohio.
The self-declared former “King” will be taking the “curse” with him down south. And until he does “right” by Cleveland and Ohio, James (and the town where he plays) will unfortunately own this dreaded spell and bad karma.

Just watch.

Sleep well, Cleveland.

Tomorrow is a new and much brighter day….

I PROMISE you that our energy, focus, capital, knowledge and experience will be directed at one thing and one thing only:

DELIVERING YOU the championship you have long deserved and is long overdue….

Bill Simmons is HILARIOUS:

13. I think it's a cop-out. Any super-competitive person would rather beat Dwyane Wade than play with him. Don't you want to find the Ali to your Frazier and have that rival pull the greatness out of you? That's why I'm holding out hope that LeBron signs with New York or Chicago (or stays in Cleveland), because he'd be saying, "Fine. Kobe, Dwight and Melo all have their teams. Wade and Bosh have their team. The Celtics are still there. Durant's team is coming. I'm gonna go out and build MY team, and I'm kicking all their *****." That's what Jordan would have done. Hell, that's what Kobe would have done.

In May, after the Cavs were ousted in the conference semifinals, I wrote that LeBron was facing one of the greatest sports decisions ever: "winning (Chicago), loyalty (Cleveland) or a chance at immortality (New York)."

I never thought he would pick "HELP!"

That was funny as hell. Right on the money too.

Just have to wait and see how it goes, it will be another interesting season in Oct, but a bad decision imo on his part. He made it more of a personal decision than a business one. Its been nice fellas, I cant wait for the debates to come next season. See you biznatches then :duff:rip. Best of luck to LBJ and the Cavs next season :)

Just read the entire article on ESPN by Bill Simmons. It was funny and right.

He should have stayed or gone to Chicago..

I agree. I would have loved to see him go to Chicago. He could have won a ton of titles there. It pisses me off a bit that he didn't. We truly give him the best shot to win titles

However, thats not why I'm off the bandwagon for this guy. I really thought when they announced the other day that he was doing this special it was he was staying. My thought was you don't do this self loving one hour special to screw over your hometown. You do it so you can say I'm staying home and gonna win here.

I myself couldn't do that to my hometown if the roles had been reversed. Kevin Durant today opted to stay in OKC and announced it via twitter in a post saying I'm staying. When Jordan came back from playing baseball all he said was I'm Back. Hell, even yesterday Wade and Bosh had a 5-10 min deal saying they would be in Mia. It wasn't this one hour masturbation event that Lebron just had.

I've ripped on Kobe a lot. He's done things that I don't agree with. The thing is I cannot see him if the roles are reversed doing this to LA. He'd just say I'm gone and sign the contract someplace or say something about a S&T. Tim Duncan wouldn't do this. Hell if Wade had left for Chicago he wouldn't have done this.

Just really bad form.

LOL at all the hate for Lebron. He left the Cavs....SO WHAT? he never got past the conf finals there, imo it's perfect time for him to move on. Someone with his talent deserves to be on a better team. Burning his jersey...? You're not a true fan anyway if you have to resort to that kind of BS.

I already knew there was no chance in hell he would end up in Chicago. It was all a publicity charade to soften the blow.

The haters are either mad because their team will suck, or mad because they are afraid of what's coming.

That letter from the Cavs owner was brutal.

Brutal but completely insignificant. who gives a ____ what the Cavs owner thinks when we all know they will probably end up like the Nets or Wolves this past season.

:slap He played in the NBA FINALS in '07.

Narcissism at its best. Cleveland should be happy they're done with him-- but really, the NBA is seemingly filled with ego-- maybe that's what it takes to be a baller. :pfft::lol I'll stick with football and hockey where the jerks are fewer and far between and heavily hidden by the good guys.

woops completely forgot about that since they got completely owned by the spurs. my bad :lol

but in all honestly, imo your argument makes no sense. Cleveland should be happy to get rid of the best player they could possibly ever get in the NBA? that is laughable in itself, on top of the fact that Lebron is one of the most unselfish and non-egotistical superstars in the league.

He just had an hour long primetime special to announce his "decision"-- sponsored by Gatorade (or whatever that drink was). I know that you're talking about his play on the court-- but LeBron, as a person, is THE most selfish and egotistical that there is in sports (and that blame has to be laid on everyone who fed his "King" persona from an early age). Look at Bird and Magic, true team players-- would they have EVER done any of this in the modern free agent world? He's made himself laughable and the Heat are now truly the Yankees. It demonstrates what's wrong with sports today. Scrap 18-20 teams in all of the leagues and just let the 5 to 10 big market teams fight between one another to buy championships.
