OK Laker fans,

Lebron will take care of Fisher and Artest single handedly (Realistically LeBron is 1.5-2 regular players)....there is NO arguing that.

Wade will give Bryant fits...pretty much cancel each other out

And Bosh will have Gasol flopping like the weak Spaniard he is.

Who's left, Bynum, he is finished by his own injuries...so please don't include him, he was about as effective as Chris Dudley.

Kobe's wife, "You know the heat gon whoop you azz next year." Kobe, "Well I can try really hard and make that mean face everytime i hit a jumper. Hopefully i show up in game 7, this year."

IN all seriousness, the LAKERS have GREAT team, but they are gonna have their hands full with this Tremendous Three.

Dan Gilbert should go back and check the Cavs history books before pouting like a 2 year old. They sucked for years to get Lebron, where was your ENERGY and LOYALTY to the fans then *********??

That letter from the Cavs owner was brutal.

That guys a poor loser, look i'm no LBJ fan but he owed Cleveland nothing. As a free agent he did what's best for him, countless times we've seen owners trade players or cut them right before they are due to get a bonus or what not and Cleveland fans...come on burning the guys jersey is lame at that to an idiot owner and good luck getting players to come play there now. Cleveland will NEVER win a title before LBJ. Was the way LBJ handled this bad, YEP but at the same time that doesn't mean Cleveland fans(most) and ownership shouldn't show class.

Now I can't wait to see a Lakers/Heat finals...Kobe vs the "new 3".....oh heck yea!

Bill Simmons is HILARIOUS:

13. I think it's a cop-out. Any super-competitive person would rather beat Dwyane Wade than play with him. Don't you want to find the Ali to your Frazier and have that rival pull the greatness out of you? That's why I'm holding out hope that LeBron signs with New York or Chicago (or stays in Cleveland), because he'd be saying, "Fine. Kobe, Dwight and Melo all have their teams. Wade and Bosh have their team. The Celtics are still there. Durant's team is coming. I'm gonna go out and build MY team, and I'm kicking all their *****." That's what Jordan would have done. Hell, that's what Kobe would have done.

as much as i bash Kobe this is a true statement in red.

Hmmmmmmmm... :dunno He didn't own the team then. He's only owned them for the last five years.

He has a right to be ticked if LeBron never even returned his calls or messages-- and then reveals in an hour long special that he's dumping the team that has stood with him. I've got no problem with free agency and the right to choose who you want to play for, but there is a little thing called responsibility and class. LeBron has none. Gilbert was right to speak out and good for him for being the voice of a ticked off fan base.

:goodpost::exactly:

YEs LBJ was an arrogant ass but that doesnt mean Gilbert should take the low road and do the same. No one rerally knows what went down in Cleveland the last few seasons behind the scenes or even in their recent discussions.

WHen the fans boo him next year, he is going to light the Cavs ups for 50 plus points

I liked the non-PC letter to the fans---- it's honest. That's something maybe LeBron should have been.

It's bitter and in bad taste, shows a real lack of class IMO. When wasnt LBJ honest? He gave the Cavs 7 years, and the best they could do for him was a Shaq that's old and used up and some B level players.

Being an Ohioian, I witnessed daily stories about Lebron's affect on the community and economy of that part of the state. Lebron knew his affect beyond being a basketball player and to promote a self indulgent media spectacle of his choice, I understand Cavs ownership and fans anger. The choice lacked alot of class.

Wade and Bosh had a documentary regarding their free agent experience Lebron already having a documentary has to "one up" them with an hour long special. Nothing but ego and self promotion which doesn't bode well for a person's image. His marketing firm will work over time to fix this mess.

Ultimately it was his choice however, it was a shame the manner it happend. It will be an interesting 10/11 season and beyond with Lebron, Gilbert and Cavs fans.

As a life long Cavs fan, I can't say I'm glad he's gone, but I will say IMO he never fit what I always believed the organization historically was about. Yes, we've always been "losers" in a way, but to me the Cavs have always been about having a strong core GROUP, not a 1 man team. Mark Price, Brad Daugherty, Larry Nance: thats the real Cavs.

Did it win them a championship? No, but to me it made them special. Injuries and age eventually closed the book on them before they beat MJ, but I still believe in that philosophy of making a team.

LBJ leaving Cleveland just makes me more of a Cavs fan. Its going to be a hard next couple of years, but I think if they go back to their 80s and 90s roots they'll be able to put a quality and competitive team together.

How was he not honest? Both sides handled it badly in different ways, its a business both should move one.

That being said Cleveland and Toronto for that matter are ____ed for life, hahahahah

Well put, its got to be hard for 90% of NBA team fans, you know out the gate you have zero chance at winning a championship each year, the Cavs just joined that group again :(

No they're not. They've got the Browns and the Leafs respectively. :lol

He wasn't honest in that he knew when he walked off that court after losing to the Celtics that he wasn't going to resign. All this talk of flip-flopping is just talk. Honesty would have been to let the Cavaliers know the minute he knew-- and to do that behind closed doors and not in front of ESPN cameras (although they were notified minutes before the live SPECIAL-- how nice.). Cleveland in no way came off as bad looking as LeBron-- his image has taken a massive hit (not on the scope of Tiger... but still). I hope the Heat lose in the first round to the Hawks or Magic. :rotfl

Being a conspiracy theorist, I believe Wade, Bosh and James knew well in advance their goal to play together. Explains why:
1. Lebron didn't pursue players to Cleveland
2. Didn't speak to Izzo
3. Didn't communicate with his team (Cavs)

Lies all lies........:gah:

Well that's BS he tried to get Bosh to go there but Bosh said no, and who can blame him....why the heck would anyone wanna play in Cleveland when you could play in: NYC,Chi,or Miami.

Gilbert called LBJ "disloyal". What a load of crap, he was loyal to himself and his family and thats all he has to be loyal too.

He just had an hour long primetime special to announce his "decision"-- sponsored by Gatorade (or whatever that drink was). I know that you're talking about his play on the court-- but LeBron, as a person, is THE most selfish and egotistical that there is in sports (and that blame has to be laid on everyone who fed his "King" persona from an early age). Look at Bird and Magic, true team players-- would they have EVER done any of this in the modern free agent world? He's made himself laughable and the Heat are now truly the Yankees. It demonstrates what's wrong with sports today. Scrap 18-20 teams in all of the leagues and just let the 5 to 10 big market teams fight between one another to buy championships.
:lecture

Very well said Neil.

I'm sure pretty much every NBA Legens feels the way Chuck feels...
