I still say he was truly injured, but if so, then why have a hissy fit when he leaves?

b/c town's like cleveland pin their hopes on something or somebody to help it get out of the mess it's in and rebuild themselves. there's not much of an economy up that way outside of the sports teams & the businesses that rely on that cashflow

LBJ did do a lot for that area though, if you look at all the businesses and all the $ he pretty much brought that wasnt there before he was there, its pretty significant how he turned that city around single handedly. Gilbert is just pissed when he looks at how much money his team will lose and how big of a drop off the overall value of the team will now make.

thats one of the few posts i have read that makes sense on the matter :lecture, but comparing him to Pippen? I dont see it, if Gilbert would have gotten Lebron a sidekick, none of this would have ever happened. D. Rose is a star player, so if Lebron goes there, are we still calling him a sidekick cause Rose is already there?

Lebron's role is going to be different now. Pippen was a great player, not the best player but still great, Jordan would not have won the titles he won without pippen and the rest of the team he had but it is and will ever be Jordan's team no matter what.

if he would have gone to Chi it would be lebron's team even though they have an all-star roster with D. Rose and Boozer because they dont have the presence and basketball skill that lebron has.

well duh...***** in seats pays the bills. I really doubt the cavs go full capacity during the season without a big draw

it's a trickle down from there

another interesting article

and this is the reason why he will be considered Pippen 2.0

Michael Jordan would have wanted to kick Dwyane Wade's butt every spring, not play with him. This should be mentioned every day for the rest of LeBron's career. It's also the kryptonite for any "Some day we'll remember LeBron James as the best basketball player ever" argument. We will not. Jordan and Russell were the greatest players of all time. Neither of them would have made the choice that LeBron did. That should tell you something.

The times they were supposed to win, they didn't, because of him.

:lol

What team? It's Wade, Bosh, LeQuit, a 3rd year guy and three rookies. That's it.

:lol Are you really saying that Cleveland didn't win because of LeBron??? That makes absolutely no sense. They were in the playoffs because of him.

The same was said of Boston a couple of years ago... These guys will simply make the other teammates (whom ever they end up being) play better.

I don't care if he cares. :lol He may win all of those but it will always be Wade's team. He went to join Wade not the other way around..

Irrelevant. The fact that YOU are upset is simply because he didn't chose Chicago. Period. If he had chosen Chicago, you would have been saying, "Yeah, it sucks he left Cleveland but he will now have a great chance of winning a championship... The whole "Pippen" and "Sidekick" arguments are irrelevant. Whenever he finally hoists the championship trophy up, it will be all worth it.

Really a team with not enough guys to play a game is the best option? Not sure if you know anything about basketball but you need more than what the heat have. :lol.

Josh, really, is that your best argument?? Pretty pathetic. The Heat are still working on different deals to fill up the roster. Come on, bud. That was, to quote one of your favorite lines, "just silly"... :lol

Really? :lol We have enough guys to play and only got better with Boozer. We're young and will be winning titles pretty darn soon I think. Wel, if he was scared of it always being MJ's team then he's just fine going someplace else. I want someone who has the balls to go there and confront MJ's image.
.

The above just goes to prove that you're upset he didn't select Chicago. Again, irrelevant to the discussion. He didn't choose "your" team. Too bad. Make the best of it. Enjoy watching Boozer & Co.

They had the best record the last two year. Better than Miami. With the right pieces and James they would have had a better shot than the Heat.
.

Unfortunately, Cleveland wasn't doing enough to obtain those pieces. I honestly don't see why LeBron HAD to stay in Cleveland, besides the "emotional" ties. I guess if LeBron would have stayed as King James over there, making money for the front office and the businesses around the arena, all would have been fine. :dunno

They better or they won't win crap. I'm sure they will get a title or two but I don't think it will be all that much honestly. They won't be winning it every year if thats what you're thinking. Oh I doubt the league is crapping its pants. Teams win titles not individuals.

:slap You appear to be agreeing with me. All that went before is simply emotional "stuff". Again, sour grapes...:lol

This.

Ok, gotta go. At the American Arena to welcome the new dream team.

:wave

Had he stayed in Cleveland he would still be bashed by people saying he stayed for the money and he will never win a championship so his legacy is doomed, lose/lose

Best record in the league two years in a row says a good chance of winning; just no closer when it counts.

Don't have to worry about guarding the Heat for now, that is unless the three will play all 48 and of course I'd love that come playoff time. :yess:

dude.............LBJ haters are gonna hate no matter what, but that is exactly what they would say. Most of the hating in the last couple of pages is based on a personal bias, not Basketball intelligence. I am one of the few Lebron fans on this board and even though I root for my hometown, I will always root for him wherever he goes, so rest assured, I have heard every Lebron bash imaginable, its like talking to a wall for me :lol. I cant wait for the season to start back up so ppl can just move on from this, ESPN is annoying the hell out of me as well with this..............its no wander they wanted this Decision show to happen :cuckoo:

Its a ratings bonanza for them, Im sure they put him up to it.

I to enjoy watching LBJ, you cant dispute his natural talent. Ill enjoy watching him light up the Cavs in there arena next year.

Meh. As a Knicks fan, I'll be praying for the Heat to be swept out of the playoffs. Year after year after year.

Until the Knicks have a real contender, why not watch a dominating team like the Heat, I think it will be fun and good for basketball.

Hopefully next year the Knicks get Melo, if they dont...

why not watch a dominating team like the Heat.

With the fickle fan base in south Florida, someone will need to watch this team. Especially if they struggle or fail to win a title interest will fade rapidly :rotfl

It is a shame Mia got the trio instead of fans who would appreciate what Riley accomplished.

It would be hilarious to see these guys play in a half full arena like most Florida pro teams.

But the NBA is more entertainment than sport anyway, heck the only "sporting events" Miami could sell out is NBA and WWE.

the Dolphins are pretty good, nobody goes to see them?

Zero chance the Heat play in front of a none sellout crowd home or away for the next few years.
