dan gilbert is right lebron james is a _____. annoited the king of what. he has not won anything anywhere pro basketball (not including olympics)..no rings but he's got some mvp's..well that speak highly..best record 2 yrs in a row.the owner brought players to cleveland to win. what is wrong with the cavaliers is now gone. lebron is a choker..now we know the heat is going to be favored. but i will laugh my butt off if they do not win..because it's going to be a fight to see who gets to shoot the ball. chris bosh what has be done.. nothing.. the only player that is decent is dwayne wade he has a title.
lebron your no michael jordan or kobe bryant. classless to your own home town..how many times did the dude use i to start a sentence last night..7 yrs in the NBA and should be getting crucified by the sports media..if he wins it will be a huge spectactle circus created by the NBA because they know there sport is in jeopardy.if he loses he will cry like a huge baby like he did when the orlando magic eliminated him.
this building a dynasty for basketball is bad for the sport.

Not that any of you will have even looked twice at the trade but I'm a Warriors fan and I'm pretty excited about acquiring the David Lee. I think he's a good fit for the club and although Anthony Randolph has a ton of upside I'm pretty happy to see the W's pick up a player that CAN play right now over letting yet another kid with huge "upside" languish on the bench and fail to ever develop into anything more than a potential difference maker.... Besides, I don't think Randolf will ever be anything special.

Yup, Scottie Pippen won titles too. He's still considered a sidekick. Wade isn't a better player. Which is why this makes no sense. James just gave up being Jordan so he could be Pippen and win without having to have the stress.

One of my favorite Jordan Nike commercials is about failure. He never backed down from that. Always looking at that to make himself better.

you didnt read what I wrote.........if Lebron wins MVP's in the Finals, not just titles, MVP's, how does that make him the "sidekick"?. Pippen never did that and he never won MVP's in the regular season. I have said this plety of times, why is it a big deal that he wants to win titles with his friends?

Just because he wins an MVP in the finals doesn't make him the man. Its not his team. Its Wade's team. If they had gone someplace else it would be different but they all went to the Team Wade was with. Is it that hard to understand?I gues there is nothing horribly wrong with it. Just shows he wasn't man enough to be top dog and do it. I think he was scared of not being able to so he'll go this route to get a title. Sadly, he doesn't realize most folks won't put him in the Jordan/Magic/Bird area code because of it.

I would answer the question , Yes.

Taking nothing away from Lebron's talent or accomplishments however, Wade has talent along with a title and finals mvp. IMO Wade trumps James regardless which one may be more talented. I assure you whether in NY or Mia, Wade will be Wade while James will adapt his game to accomidate Wade. Thus Wade is the man alla Jordan and Lebron the side-kick alla Pippen. Bosh is a more skilled complimentary piece like Grant. What they accomplish or don't accomplish is yet to be determined.

great read, and to try to make a point, the Lakers and Kobe lost to the Celtics in 08 so what did Kobe and Gasol do, they played harder and got themselves back to back championships(beating the celtics in the process) with a possible third one coming this next season. and even if lebron does win multiple championships with the Heat, Wade will always have one more then lebron

well the thing is, Gilbert did everything to firing Brown, and Ferry, and was pretty much doing everything possible to please him, then he leaves, and then he now says he quit in the Playoffs. its being brought up because ESPN and pretty much everyone (not me) appointed him "king" james as soon as he got to the NBA and saying he is the greatest basketball player. when you make a claim like that you have to win titles on your OWN team and not have to go to someone else team to win titles. for me thats the reason i dont like him not because i dont think he has no basketball skill because there is no denying he does, its the fact that everyone thinks he is the best without having proven he is a clutch performer like Kobe or Wade.

thats one of the few posts i have read that makes sense on the matter , but comparing him to Pippen? lebron did quit in the last series. he half assed about 2 or 3 games
