Nah melo can rebound really well imo..Just doesn't work on the defensive end. If u can score in the post and the wing and off the dribble. That's more thane one dimentional.. Maybe he'll learn to pass and get more intensive defensively.. I was all for trading Bynum for him.. He's special.

You can forget about Deron or CP3 unless they are going to be willing to come in at the Mid-level salary. In 2011-12 both Carmelo and Amare will be slated to make over $20 million... that's 5 million MORE than Lebron or Wade or Bosh make. That in essence eliminates the opportunity to get another max level player. Say what you want about players choosing to sacrifice money to win... BUT Carmelo DIDN'T. He's getting his max level extension.

...talk about raining on the parade.

Only time will tell. CP3 is an educated man. He will make the right decision...and that decision will be similar to LeBron's, Wade's & Bosh's...the only way to compete and beat the Super-Powers (Lakers, Celtics, Spurs & HEAT...ect) is by forming your own Super-Power. One way or another...at the start of the 2013 season the KNICKS will have their own BIG 3.

As much as I dislike Chris Broussard...i agree with his statement...it's a SAFE BET that CP3 or Deron Williams will be a Knick on 2013.

Oh another thing about the Knicks signing CP# or Deron...

NY state has STATE income tax... (unlike florida) so they'd have to take HALF of what Melo/Amare make and GET taxed 3 times what the get taxed now. NOT GONNA HAPPEN.

Scared of what? The KNICKS?!! LOL... please... Amare's knees, Melo's Pourous D and the scariest 10/6 guy in the league Landry Fields?!?

I can't wait for March 4th... Knicks get SPANKED by the HEat.

Face it... The KNicks just became the Denver Nuggets.

Not necessarily of the Knicks. I'm not a fan of their internal structure.. With the wrong owner and basketball people it can all slip right through your fingers.. But of powers alligning.. Lightning can't strike twice?.. Or perhaps u just started a trend..

I wouldnt be surprised if the Heat did start a trend... but for the next 6 years i'll take my THREE over any three.

Although Dwight Howard along side Kobe is a pretty good two. Hopefully Kobe's decline will accelerate. Also, Howard's free throw shooting is his achilles.

If we can overcome shaqs free throws I think we can endure Howard..

If only bosh knew how to play with his back to the basket and had a few low post moves.. Then you could really be called the big 3..

Boston is taking you down this year. 20 bucks they make it further?

We will have plenty of cap room.

Actually, this is one time Wake is right. I've not read an article yet talking about how the knicks will have the cap room to sign another max player.

-------------------

I'll be curious to see if Chicago makes a move. I don't feel they really really need to honestly and our move is kind of getting Noah back and making our team even stronger.

I'm not even convinced that Boston would have a tough time with Miami... Could be over in 5.

Wake you really must feel the heat are going to win it all every year while those three are down there. They will get 1-2 titles max out of that six.

My take on Kobe is that the man obviously has skill, maybe the best we've ever seen - seriously. He's also extremely intellegent and driven which has lead him to have a huge ego. He is fully aware of his accomplishments and he has a certain idea of what he wants his legacy to be when its all said and done.

Simply put, he wants to be the best there was, the best there is and the best there ever will be. And he will stop at nothing to get there. If that means pissing off everyone around him, teammates, peers, coaches, fans, whatever - it doesnt matter to him, because he has a very specific idea of what his legacy NEEDS TO BE. And, as a result, that drive has also become a liabilty in his quest to be known as the greatest.

To be honest, I cant say I blame the guy. He is a GENIUS at what he does, and geniuses tend to be selfish aholes because they can be. They just see the world a different way than mere mortals do. And in a weird anti-way, I respect him for that. To me he's no different than a Mozart, Bobby Fischer or DaVinci. He just does it in a different medium.

For better or worse, thats MY .02 on Kobe.

Kobe is a basketball genius, and I'm not saying that because the lakers are my team. I actually don't like kobe that much. Magic is my favorite Laker. Kobe is definately talented, but there are more naturally gifted atheletes then kobe IMO. Tracy Magrady(in his prime) and Lebron I think have more natural talent then kobe. What sets kobe apart from the rest is that he is mentally tougher then anyone in the league and his drive to be the best is relentless. His work ethic and persistance is unmatched. He is like the terminator, he never dies. Just keeps getting back up for more. To stop kobe you have to chop off his legs and arms. And even after that, he'll still find away. Lebron is a better and more talented player, but kobe's WILL is what puts him past Lebron. Kobe is a Demon.

Kobe does have a weakness though. It is very easy to get him out of the "Team" game. He will never back down from a challenge. If you piss him off, or disrespect him or put a hand in his face, he will abondon his teammates and go one on one,one on two or one on five. Once you piss him off, he will do everything in his power to score on you, at the expense of his team. Even if there are 2 or 3 guys guarding him with an open man underneath the basket, he'll try to take it to the hole himself and score on you just to prove a point. He's getting a little better about that now, but still has his moments.

Who's credibility is shot now?

Your credibility is still shot :rotfl IMO you're a stooge, that cheers for a good team.

Very few players in the NBA can compare to LBJ...IMHO Carmello is one of them...while many say he's not as "good"...IMO he is very close. Your credibility is shot because you are trying to down play the acquisition of a TOP 10 player in the leauge. No matter how you look at this...this is a HUGE DEAL. I find it funny you are trying to downplay and dismiss the fact that the KNICKS have acquired (2) top 10 players in the leauge.

THIS IS A HUGE DAY IN NEW YORK sports, no matter how you look at it. I don't know how old you are, (judging by your antics your prob 16) I am happy because in the past 12 years the Knick's high water mark was their Final appearance with Latrell Sprewell (where they got DOMINATED by David Robinson and Tim Duncan)...FINALLY i have something to cheer about.

1-2 MAX ... IMO anything less than 3 titles for Miami is a FAILURE.

GOOD POINTS...i agree with your assesments of his atributes.

as a non-Kobe/Laker fan...I was happy Kobe won the MVP...as long as his knees are working and he's still breathing...he's the #1 player in the world. I was glad he proved that he's still the top dog.

...and the scariest 10/6 guy in the league Landry Fields?!?

I actually like the upside of Landry Fields. He reminds me of a young Tracy McGrady. Imagine a lanky guard who rebounds seven a game in his rookie year.. He probably scores only 10-13 points just because he's not getting enough shots.

I hope he learns a thing or two from Mr. Big Shot, Billups. :hi5:
