Curious to see how Denver will do on a back to back against Orlando and Miami. Be happy with a split.

I am pretty surprised how well Denver is doing. I think its two fold, obviously the new guys are playing well, but now with the Melodrama long past them guys like Kenyon Martin, Birdman, JR Smith are playing better than they have all season.

Big game tomorrow for the Spurs...like I said, if there was ever a must-win for this team, THIS IS IT. We cannot lose to the Lakers, Heat AND Mavs in the course of a ~week. We'll be limping in to the playoffs like a 3-legged dog.

I hear you there, I'm just getting my full of Kobe because I know that we'll never get another player like him again. I'm hoping for one more year at the top of the league...cough...cough..4peat... Then I'm good for at least another decade. Just hoping it really doesn't take that long. Maybe we can steal D. Howard away from Orlando, and have another instant dynasty on our hands with Kobe as the old and slow elder statesman...

No he's not unfortunately. Im surprised how quickly he declined, it felt like it was overnight.

In 08-09 he was still very good but in 09-10 his game, especially defensively, just completely dipped and now, '10-'11 season, we're REALLY just seeing a shell of his former self. I figured because he didnt rely on pure physical strength, athleticsm, etc. he would last awhile, but I guess I figured wrong.

But if you think about it, it kinda makes sense, because he's played his full 4-years of college, all the olympic games and all the postseason games, he probably has the body of a 40-year old now...

I have a feeling, because the work stoppage is looming, that this will be Duncan's last season. I see no reason for him to come back...

he does have a pretty full career. surprised though about the talk of retirement. He still averages about 16 pts per 36 minutes, 11rebounds, with 2 blocks which is only slightly below a guy like Brad Daugherty who was an all-star with that level of play. So even at that declined level, he's still a very valuable player.

Now he can't play 36 minutes a game any more, but thats still a great line.
