:yess:...Not that I think it's a good basketball play but I'm glad to see Bynum put someone on their rear end and show some pride about protecting our paint. This is going to go a long ways for us come playoff time...:yess:

Plus Bynum could use the rest with the fluid building up in his knee again, so this could be a blessing in disguise as well...:wink1:

I like hard basketball. This is what teams should have done to Jordan every time he stuck his tongue out.

lol, its just a sprained ankle fellas, dont start patting each other on the ass just yet - we all know youre worried about the Spurs - its so cute to see you guys all giddy. He's only out a couple of weeks and Old Man Duncan needs the rest anyways.

Plus Splitter needs to see action - for better or worse, we need to see his mettle. They BARELY rely on Duncan any more anyways. Mark my words, this is actually a blessing...

I have a feeling that you're more worried about us than the other way around. Rest Ol' man Duncan, because when the playoffs roll around and you start having those games every other day. Stick a fork in them because he's done from that point forward. You guys might not use him a lot anymore, but you still need for him to be at least serviceable, and the playoff grind will chew Duncan, McDyess up! Mark my words...:lecture Then that leaves 6'7" Blair & unproven Spiltter to protect your paint...:yess: Yummy, taste like chicken...:lol

Except it only lasted a few years. Once the Pistons toughies retired it pretty much ended. The Knicks were physical, but never presented that much of a challenge to the Bulls.

The Cavs had a great team, but never really had the tough guy that would come out and beat on someone. Daugherty was a dough boy and Nance didn't play that way.

Now, I'm not a Beasley fan at all nor do I know what was going on before that but I'm sorry thats a cheap shot. He totally deserved the 2 game ban and any ass chewing he got from Phil. You go straight up and for the ball then you can still put him on his ass and get across your point.

ya cheap shot.. beasley was running his mouth all game.. getting into it w. artest and odom from the start.. bynum sent him a message.. funny how when beasley got up he decided to get into barnes face and call him out for a fight, barnes didnt do anything.. what a tool..

again cheap shot, but if anyone in the league deserves one its that punk _____ beasley.. Im glad bynum laid his _____ ass out.. I enjoyed it and it was worth seeing bynum enforce for the 1st time in his career..

:exactly: Even with the additions of Artest and Barnes, the rest of the league still view the Lakers as a soft and finesse team. Also, Bynums got to balance out the soft finesse play of Gasol. We need him to be our enforcer.

As long as that so called softness keeps winning us titles. I know that you will agree, let'em keep calling us soft. But I just feel of the "C's" if they were riding Perkins toughness to win another title. Especially since most fans were crying about how the "C's" would have won if he was in the game...:cuckoo:

Every Knicks/Bulls series went to AT LEAST a Game 6.

I'd say they posed a pretty damn good challenge.

In fact, I'd say that many of the Bulls/Knicks Playoff series were the "real" championship series, rather than the actual East vs. West Championships.

The Knicks remained physical well into the late 90's, including roughing up Heat ass up and down the court on almost every occasion.

"Physical play" came to an end in the early 00's.

I would argue the same for the Cavs/Bulls series a couple times too. Cavs rolled over to the Bulls, but I think between 92-94 had they made it past the Bulls they very well could have had a title. Especially the year the Bulls beat Portland. Cleveland would have run all over that Portland team.

I was thinking the same thing while catching up on the posts. We lost Rio for a couple of weeks. I hope we stay healthy for the PO's.

I think it's gonna give Bibby a good window to see how he fares in the starting lineup. So far our big 3 + bibby lineup is like a ridiculously effecient 126.0 pts per 100 possesions.
