Lets not forget the great turn around season the young Lakers had.. We were predicted to fight for the 8th seed and to lose in the 1st round.. We are still growing.

Yes, they took it further than anyone anticipated, it was a very successful season for such a young team.

Let's also not forget how many turnovers the Lakers handed to the Celts, at least 20 by my count in the first half. Well, it was ginormous by any count. The Lakers played with no purpose and the score reflected that.

I would actually give you/them credit had they not acquired Gasol. But now trying to play that card is laughable.

Picking up Gasol, the lakers SHOULD have won the title

Nah we had no answer to thier physical play.. However we survived against it in Utah, but it wasn't easy.. Gasol is a nice peice but got pushed out of his comfort zone.. Same w/ Lamar

Now when We put a guy like Bynum in the middle, move Pau to Power and Lamar to small there should be no excuses..

Celts played good defense.. Defense wins games.. I give them all the credit.

Wow lakers fans are putting alot on Bynum's presence in the line up...its not like he's the second coming. He's a 22 year old that wasnt proven anything....but I guess Laker fans gotta pin there hopes on something.

I wouldn't go that far, but had that trade happened before the season started I imagine few would have had the Lakers worse than 2 or 3 in the West.

I hope Kobe shakes off this loss soon. He's gonna be a vital part of team USA run to the gold this summer.

Im just sayin, by picking up Gasol the Lakers rose to number 1 in the West. That is saying a lot, but I think with PHX having to do a 180 on their offense and tempo with shaq, the lakers may have had a bit of an easier time getting to #1 than they should have.

Ever since the Gasol trade laker fans have been saying how they are now unstoppable, even with Bynum injured.

I also agree with Darthmatrix, I dont understand why everyone is acting like Bynum is some dominant force that will be unstoppable? He hasn't even done anything yet, the guy is still a kid. Do you really think Bynum could dominate a Duncan or Yao ming?
