I preorded with TRU.

If this is true and I get a ____ed up version.. I will be going to my TRU around the corner and exchanging for a good one on the shelf.

I want to see this NECA wall :drool

I was looking for the Forbidden Planet when I was in London couple years back...missed out - had to catch the tube to get to a wedding. Slightly important :lol

I did this with the 8" ones, I ordered 8 figures with free shipping, kept the 4 with the best paint jobs and returned the remaining 4 and got my money back. That way I got the amount I wanted with good paint jobs and din't lose out on any money.

Plus, I'm sure there were some happy people glad they were able to find a Classic Pred on the pegs at TRU when they put the ones I returned back on the salesfloor.

We've got two here and one is good to go and one has the gap. I'm hoping the gap will not be there. Fingers crossed most of them will be the fixed one. I did fix one for myself and it was an easy fix but still I rather it be right in the first place. The paint looks great.

Are the two you have production figures? Or is the one with the correct visor the prototype that you fixed? And what was the process of your fix? I don't want to come off as a jerk, but I think we would really appreciate a clear answer. Collectively, the people posting in this thread have a couple thousand dollars worth of your products on preorder.

Yeah, NECA should make sure all are fixed. taking a cheap route when doing a piece that should be netting you new customer confidence, is major fail IMO. If the mask is wrong on a few, trash those masks or fix them, period. Not doing so shows a lot about their respect for the product and the customer.

"this would have been the most accurate pred ever, but we were too cheap to fix the mask. Grats to those that got the exclusive corrected version."

Well, to be completely honest.

It's NECA......

You're demanding too much for a $85 figure :dunno

It's amazing how easily some of you dismiss these problems. This isn't a new sculpt issue, but applying tankmans fix at least in the factory where it can be done best. If people always shrug this stuff off, no wonder they don't care to fix it.

Seriously, and the wristblades are actually a quarter of a milimeter too short? How the hell did they miss that? Why ruin the perfect Predator figure?

Screw NECA and their crappy products.

Man.... should I send you my address so you can send me one:) I can't wait to paint one up.... LOL... even though I have limited my collection, this is the ONLY piece I will have all three.... just brings back memories of my dad renting a rated r movie for his 7 year old son..haha...

I am REALLY glad you addressed that so I don't have to read 37 new posts about it every time I check this thread..lol..

I love what you did on the 8 inch figure and can't wait to see your work put on this bad boy. We only have test shots in the shop and I know China has been told what we want with the masked head. One test shot has a gap the other doesn't. I fixed mine by taking it apart and just pushing it together more and glued it back together. Fixed it no problem. I can't believe how some funs can get themselves so worried and we are big fans are self. We want it to be as good as anything we've ever done. I'm very happy with this piece and hope the gap is history. I'll be looking forward to your work on this piece.

For the record, my issue has far less to do with the gap than NECA's response to it. If it's as easy to fix as tank man says, they should fix it. If a batch are wrong they should fix the batch. Nobody wants to get one of those in a purchase lottery. If they claim to have bested everyone else at the most accurate pred, why let a little and fixable problem spoil that? It's not a tank man problem, or a sculpt problem, but a company qc problem. And I'd say the same thing if it were a $12 8" figure.

But, his latest response is less of a riddle. It sounds less like some are going to be wrong and the rest right. Sounds like he's really not sure.

You have to sometimes put yourself in the company's position. Do you want to get the main things like paint apps on the figure right or put emphasis on something so minor as the visor.

It's a production line and I don't expect the workers to be able to spend an inordinate amount of time putting the figure together.

For $85, if they can get it like it has been shown, I'd be delirious with joy :lol

Thank you!

I CANNOT wait for my set of 3 to show up in the mail. And hopefully sales are strong enough to justify expanding the 1/4 scale line. I look forward to emptying my bank account for the following:
Predator 2
Predator 2 Battle Damaged
Predator 2 Elder
Berserker

Make it happen
