Its not 20/30$ cheap but its 1/4 scale, dont forget.:wink1:

I would have honestly prefered one body with one head but with the possibility to pose him with open/closed mouth and the mask. Just like HT berseker I guess for the same price of 200$.

I wonder where I will fit these 3 giants.:horror

This is NOT about a gap. It's about NECA. If they could fix it easily and don't, that says a lot about them. To be honest, I wish Tankman had never replied anything about the gap and all of them shipped with it. Cause now we'll be looking for it when they come, and people will be on all these boards feeling screwed if they got the stupid gap, while looking at other peoples pictures of theirs without it. If anything, we've gotten too much information too early in the game. The pics were fine, the figure is fine, if everyone gets the same thing, then everyone's happy.

Your comparison to a fridge with a broken crisper, and a visor that might be off by mere millimeters in terms of accuracy, but is still built and painted perfectly – is not valid.

So you're upset because you got too much info from tankman. Can't you just ignore it, it's only text on a page. Variations such as the visor gap are normal QC variables and no figure is going to be 100% identical to the next. Get used to it, this reality is applied to everything, not just NECA stuff, or this pred figure in particular.

How much did you pay for gas then, vs. now? Higher price is expected, look at the 6" figs.. $14.99-$17.99 vs. $9.99-$11.99 a year ago..
I am happy to pay $80 for this, and will not be surprised when it goes for $180 in a year from now, on ebay for example.

I understand that the economy has changed. It sucks! I was paying 0.89p a litre for petrol, now I'm paying £1.37.:gah:

I'm happy paying that much for a figure that looks this fantastic. It will be a stand out piece in my collection for sure.
 
Prefused, have you seen the pics of the ones painted up in the factory?
Because the paint app on them looks so much better than the paint app on my HT P1.
Am I the only one who sees this?:panic:

I love HT and their figures, but from what I have seen, everything about NECA's 18 incher destroys HT's P1. Except for, maybe, accessories.
My HT P1 looks great, but the paint on the chest + arms is definitely inferior to the pics i've seen of the FACTORY PAINTED NECA 18 incher.

The paint apps have looked great in all of the pics we've seen.:yess:
 
I know goosey, I was specifically talking about the facory ones so no one could say "Oh, well, that was painted by the experts at NECA" or somethng..

were those pics from actual production figures? or the test shots/paint masters? i haven't seen any clear pics of what we're actually getting.
 
There were two pics of thousands of 18 inchers piled up in a factory, painted. You couldn't see them perfectly, but from what you could see they looked great.

There were also a few pics of several 18 incher torsos that were painted.. That has got to be the factory paint up right? I mean, NECA's not randomly painting a couple dozen of these themselves...right?

Anyway, they looked so much better than HT's. Far more detailed, etc.

doesn't look any better than HT in that pic to me. doesn't look much worse, either. guess we'll have to wait for nice in-hand pics to turn up. i remain skeptical.
 
Well, if those are the ones done by the factory, the ones we'll be getting, I think they look a lot better than this:

no look at how uneven the paint apps are on those factory torsos. HT stuff has very consistently detailed paint apps. i don't think NECA has the infrastructure or skilled labor to do that.

I think I get what you're saying..

Like, NECA's is more sloppy, right? The details on the HT P1 are more..precise? I can see that in the spots'n stuff, I guess.. But I've always felt that the HT version's chest is too..bland.
I don't get that feeling when looking at that NECA pic, though.

Oh well, we'll know for sure when we are actually holding it..
