I dont care one bit about size, what I care about is quality.:wave So if its lower quality, there is no reason for me to buy it.
Although their cheap price is tempting.:wink1:

Is there any place that masked predator is still in stock?
For it's price, the quality is amazing. It's 100% more accurate than the HT version (the sculpt atleast), and in the pics we've seen the paint is far better than HT.. I'm pretty sure the majority of those pics are of the actual item you're getting. I mean, we've seen pics of a gazillion in a factory all painted up, but people still say "oh, well, let's wait for in-hand pics".
Unless i'm missing something, this is the most accurate, badass Predator figure ever made.

I believe it will be. I can't wait to see how big it is when it's standing in front of me. I only have the 1/4 Alien in this scale, but that's still boxed and comes in two parts. This guy is fully assembled; the box is going to be huge.

I have to be honest I say the other reason I am scared to get this guy is because its 1/4th scale.

So far I bought 1/6 scale and I am happy, but having 1/4th next to them will look weird and I might get torn between 1/4th or 1/6th scale. Consistency is something I care about a lot in my collection. Maybe I just put them in different rooms?

Also, when you guys say its gonna be better than HT one, do you mean their older ones as I don't see how they can top the newer released predators?

Dude, don't worry about that.. you can find other places to put it. Just buy them so hopefully NECA will decide to make P2 in 1:4 scale. :panic:

It's better than HT's Predator 1 figure.. It IS more screen accurate, for sure. The proportions are right, the sculpt is almost dead on..
It comes with little to no accessories unlike the HT P1, but it is only $80...

It's a great deal.

I think I will get it, 80$ doesn't seem that much.
Well for 1/4 scale it seems to be a steal actually. Its just too good to be true honestly though.

Anyone has link to a reputable store that ships to Canada and has the masked one in stock?
I only checked bigbadtoystore and it was out of stock.

I wasn't big on 1/4 scale either, I'm just making exception here, simply because I want better quality versions of those 8" sculpts which this figure(s) will be. I went and bought the Alien too. My 1/4 collection will consist of only Endoskeleton (which I don't really like to be honest, very cheap looking unless heavily customised), Robocop, Alien and the 3 versions of this Predator. I don't really care what it looks like next to the different scale stuff. The important thing was owning this sculpt painted better than the 8" and with the detail more able to be appreciated.

That's what she said. :chug

I love the ulterior motive in your statement.
Ultimately, all you're interested in is to increase the chances of a P2 in 1/4th. :lol
I'm with you LT. I want a P2 with as much attention to details as this P1.

Just because theres no way the 8" will look anywhere near as good as that proto, the paintscheme is too complex.

Yeah, I'll be interested to see how the handle the paint apps on the 8" P2 figure. It will be a fine line between staying accurate and detailed, but not making it so complicated so it will be easily screwed up at the factory.

But yeah, a 1/4 P2 would have the paint apps dead-on to the proto. Heck, even look at the Classic Pred. As good as the 8" one is, notice how they used the yellow-tinted plastic to give him his skin tone. Whereas the 1/4 one has whitish skin with the varying skin tones painted on to be accurate to the proto, giving it a much more layered and "life-like" appearance.

P2 begs for the 1/4 treatment. Plus getting all of his extra weapons in too... damn. I'd pay $10 to $20 the price of the P1 to get him in that scale. Hell, even $100 per figure seems like a bargain.

Let's not forget that the larger the figure, the more secure the packaging, and the less-likely we are to get warped accessories. :naughty

I have the alien out of the box, that thing is huge, is really big,
yeah I had to put the legs on, but, I love it,

I also have an 18 inch Hellboy, he is pretty big.
I know bigger doesn't mean better, I know, and we will have to see how this predator looks when is out,
but
In this case, I think bigger can be better, not only the sculpt is better but, this is going to look so amazing, is going to be the main figure of out collections, Im pretty sure people's eyes will be drawn to him immediately, even if he is standing next to other figures

Didn't even think about all the weapons. :horror

@blackmask Bigger is definitely better because you can see more detail. I'd love a tiny P2 head with those beautiful closed mandibles, but i'd kill for a 1:4 version. It's just more visually appealing.

You aren't missing anything here because it's true. I've got this guy in front of me now and he is the king of action figures for sure. I just wish P2 will get this treatment too.
