NECA 1/4 scale predator

My NECA 1/4 scale Predator next to my SSC 1/4 scale Jason Voorhees PF. So who's off here??

And yes, Jason is on the thick base, but Ken Kirzinger (played Jason on FvJ, and signed the base. Bought it that way, never met him) is 6' 5". The boot soles are thick, so say he was 6' 8" in costume. KPH was 7' 2", and say he was a good 7' 5" in costume. If they're both in proper 1/4 scale, then the Predator should still tower over Jason, even on that base.

I thought it was common knowledge that the "1/4 scale" Predator from NECA was not 1/4 scale!? The majority of Predator stuff isn't in scale. HT, NECA, etc. None of them get it right.

I think people single out NECA (and rightfully so) because of all the claims of "accuracy" they throw out there via their hypeman/sculptor tankman.

If not for that, people wouldn't dwell on certain inaccurate elements their toy has. Because it DOES have them.

I'd say its a combination of that Jason being too big to be true 1/4 scale and the NECA predator being too small to be true 1/4 scale. Jason looks to be dwarfing the Predator in every dimension.

I received my masked version today,im usually a statue man so the decision to by a figure wasnt taken lightly :,but i was desparate for a "1/4" (ish) predator,ive been after the SS Maquette for years but to no avail,anyway i am very happy with this,infact the more i look the better it gets,i'm going to mod a few things but even out of the box this thing is awesome,if someone told me i'd say that about a Neca figure i would have laughed my ass off,and thats a compliment to neca,good job Tankman :

that's prolly the biggest downfall to buying figures. Do yourself a favor and invest in display cases. Every figure I have ever gotten, went into a display case, problem solved. Or maybe make a custom stand/base that will elimate any falling over due to a loose ankle joint. If you have room, a detolf would prolly be worth it too cause they are dirt cheap.

Yeah I was thinking of making a custom stand for him if anything. I started posing him in different ways that keeps the weight off that left leg, but yeah after that now I gotta find a safer way to display him for sure.

I wish I knew it was happing. I aways dreamed about both P1 and 2 being 19inch figures but figured if only we'd do at least P1 I'd be very happy. Now that it's out I'm dreaming about about how great P2 would be. I've got the 2up right next to me and can't help but think if only this would get the 19inch scale put on him. It would be great to see and who knows maybe it will happen. One year ago I didn't think P1 was going to happen and it did. I think the Elder would be next if we do more because he just a few new pieces to change P1 into him.
