wish I was pro.... on a side note, looks like windrix has based his sculpt on the carlo rambaldi mechanical head sculpt for the revised alien figure

I was having a look at twitter and came across this…

@NECA_TOYS Is this Alien part of the 35th figures? Or it will be a 35th special edition xenomorph?

Reply from Neca : part of the 35th collection. 35th figures appear in each series all year long

So it looks like we will be getting something Alien related every series they release this year. They also replied to somebody saying there will be 4 or more Alien figures this year. Pretty sure that’s not 4 versions of the creature but all figures in the line. So 4 planned waves so far?

Ordered myself 2 Blue Aliens and the Egg this weekend along with some of the older Kenner Aliens :yess:

With that planning, I'd say it's a good sign they got Weaver to play ball. If they did, NECA will own TF again this year. It will be a major coup for them, even bigger than HT and Nicholson.

It would be awesome to have Ripley figures coming. I want a lucky star figure. The Powerloader discussion with Neca didn’t fill me with confidence but they are good at getting the important likeness rights. Can only hope

Had read something about Dallas but cant find the tweet now so I cant post exactly but that’s one maybe? Kane even without his likeness they can just add a Facehugger. With Likeness that’s two figures of that one character. Possible variants of the Alien, Transparent concept design seems to be popping up here and there. Their reuse of things gives them many options for a year long anniversary.

So how's about some more pics of Giger's Alien?
Has anybody else picked one up yet?

I picked it up...need to take pics still,
But Kyle delivered....

He used the original for some parts that were still good, but resculpted many details including the lower face, upper portion if the upper torso, the entire pelvis, improved dome shape, legs, feet, ( still has the little puffy area under the jaw), tail is the same I think...paints not great, but the overall effect is AWESOME.....
Very much more MORE --ALIEN than hot toys version

I'm having trouble figuring out if the ankles bend...I know they swivel, but do they bend...m afraid ill break it if it doesn't actually bend at the ankle like the old one...come to think of it, I don't even know if 89 batman's ankles bend either
Can anyone please confirm the ankle joints on any of the new warrior aliens or big chaps please?

Hi guys,
Can you please confirm the articulation a on the ankle?
I'm not sure if it's just a swivel or if it's supposed to be able to bend forward and backward...

Yeah, they have a ball and socket joint (as opposed to a insert molded joint) at the ankle.

NECA used to deserve their bad rap for fragile figures but the plastic/resin quality is definitely improving. They're still a little stiff right out of the package most times; DO NOT force the joint, grab a hair dryer or run the stuck joints under hot/boiling water for about 60 secs to soften the plastic (so it doesn't break from being brittle). The joint ought to move smoothly after that.

NECA is about all I really collect at this point and I haven't broken a figure in like a year and a half. I can take a tiny bit of fragility when considering the insanely cool crap we're getting at that price point.
