Just saw that Neca released a Locust Hive army building box set a while ago from the Gears of War series. I guess that really means that an Alien Warrior hive set could actually happen! Man that'd be great! Extra eggs and warriors!! Come on Neca, bring us a four back of blue Xenos!!

I know what you mean. Plastic just isn't what it used to be, but the stuff that comes from NECA's Chinese factories is awful. I'll use some NECA action figure parts for dioramas and such, but as collectibles? I'm done with them. I don't need to be putting my money towards this plastic crap only to have it end up in a landfill. I'd rather collect original art, or a few rare select pieces than support more of the mass-marketed junk NECA puts out.

You guys are also comparing different versions of screen-used skulls. I'm assuming the large mouth cable-controlled version was only used for close-ups.

the head looks nothing like movie alien head. and i've already shown before how off the proportions and shapes are. cheeks, jaw, mouth, jaw opening angle, head/dome thickness and shape should have been resculpted from that poor old variant - instead it just got that white beak, and that's all.

...you can't win this argument xD facts and proofs mean nothing to some people.

I generally love how this figure looks, very detailed and impressive, but the head it's not accurate, any pic from the film can prove that and the lips look just awful when the mouth is not closed. All in all I'm glad I don't collect at this size and I'm sure the Aliens warrior will look much better.

Looking at the shape and proportions the neca figure has it beat by far. Considering it is also based on the rambaldi head...the big chap deserves to have the full detail not just the basic alien look. The shape proportions and detail are all there. This is by far the most accurate figure I've seen.

Lips are off. You have to admit that

Perfect. This is the exact same. I love when it is side by side with my figure and it looks identical. Thanks for the clear post. Best figure I own, most accurate I've seen. In person it is a incredible.
On a side note my goal is not to irritate people. We have plenty of people here who do that.

I'm in agreement on this...I'm really stoked for it. The earlier pictures you posted and others comments about the 'beak'...the original Alien had the lips and I think it's been executed very well. Cannot wait to get it (though I'm getting killed by HT Star Wars figs at the moment so I sure as heck hope it doesn't sell out too quickly).

I laugh at the accuracy complaints on a $100 ultra detailed 22 inch movie collectible that anyone walking into a room would immediately know what it is.

As long as the quality remains ok, this figure is a must buy if you desire a 1/4 Alien.

There is the mouth from a few angles. I love that neca always does what is unexpected. There are plenty of shots with the lips closed in the film. So that's covered. The lips exist they are on film. And I respect neca for doing what the big chap is known for compared to the other aliens, it's uniqueness. It was very different looking that all the other aliens after. It was full of surprises with the look of it.
