Absolutely stunning figure!
Thanks for all the pics guys.

When mine gets here, I'll make sure to do some touch ups on the lips.
I think they look too white at the moment.
The lips really take the color of the lighting. You can see the teeth right through them. I mean in the first scene with Brett you see the face upside down and the lips are closed and then of course the lips peal back. I think if they were a bit shorted it could work just as well.

Wow it looks great!! Kinda wish the lips had the peel back effect but that may be asking a bit much..

I have to admit that I also very much dislike the way the HT Big Chap turned out. Way too much artistic license was given to the front of the dome/ mouth area. Which is a shame because that is the most iconic part. Hoping HT releases a Big Chap 2.0 in the future or maybe when they start up the Aliens line again.

I scored the queen today for $45 shipped at the BBTS Ebay store. They have a bunch of damaged or defective queen's left and luckily mine only had the broken stand - no damage or defects on the actually queen itself and the box is included. Looking for ideas on a stand or I might just string up some supports in my Detolf to keep it from falling. Any stand suggestions?

Anybody still looking for the queen might want to check it out:)

I know what you mean. Plastic just isn't what it used to be, but the stuff that comes from NECA's Chinese factories is awful. I'll use some NECA action figure parts for dioramas and such, but as collectibles? I'm done with them. I don't need to be putting my money towards this plastic crap only to have it end up in a landfill. I'd rather collect original art, or a few rare select pieces than support more of the mass-marketed junk NECA puts out. :(

It's a waste of their sculptors' talents.
Interestingly, the only problems I've had with NECA figures thus far have been monsters, specifically a xenomorph and a Locust Cantus. All of my human figures seem fine, and I'd be very surprised if any of the major joints on my Marines broke at this point, considering how much stress I've already put them through.

Thank for the video mate.

BTW, didn't realize that the Medicom alien was priced at $169 back then, that's a lot expensive than I thought.
Very very over-priced in my opinion, as in Japan you can find them recently less than $100 easily. Still not worth the money I think.
I think Neca did a great job in both quality and price overall.

You're welcome. Yeah I looked at the medicom alien and it's so plain with no character. It's missing all the details. I can see it's the big chap so guess that's something way better than hot toys. But neca has done exceptional work on this figure. Guess I can't praise them enough.

You can clearly see the proportion is accurate. And when it comes to detail look at the right eye socket of the skull. On is bigger than the other. That is accuracy. Since kyle said it is his favorite film he really wanted to capture the real alien that was used. This figure hands down is the best.

Great pics jaklynfiorhollyw. Your Alien fig on the left looks like this pic of the creature b/f it kills Parker w/o the drooling of course. :lol

Whenever I look at it I see brett death. With the mouth closed I see the head hanging above brett. Can't wait to see the next 1/4 scales. My line will be set with the next two.

I want to give this an honest chance, so I'm hoping to scope one out at a LCS or TRU... after that, he'll be in a pose similar to this as long as I have him:

The reason being that the ab crunch, at least on the figure I received yesterday, couldn't support the weight of the figure when the upper body was posed straight; it could only hunch over. Knee joints were also on the weak side, so a sitting or kneeling pose would be ideal.

I just got a 26" waist stand. $7 should be worth it

May need anxiety medicine

Welp, it uh... it arrived.

Sending it back for a refund and possible exchange. If that doesn't work, I'll try hunting for this in person.

On a positive note, the sculpt and paint look fantastic. The usual brittle, hard, fiberglass-like plastic they use miffs me, but that's to be expected. I'd be singing this figure's praises were it not for the QC issues it has.

Thanks for the vid, Blade, sorry to hear about the issues. :duff
